Can we Say welcome back Bobby

One of my all time favorite players - in any sport!

Time to get my bjax jersey back on for Kings games!

Welcome Home Bobby! - It's good to have you back!

Welcome back Bobby!

I'm sure the Kings fans will give you an incredible standing ovation when you step foot on ARCO arena once again.

I will do the same from my home in L.A.!

Sweeeet! welcome back Bobbbby!

I think he'll be cut, I know that sounds bad but I don't think this team is looking to keep older players, I think he'll be right back on the Rockets. Think about it, the Kings have Beno, he'll start, Bobby Brown, who I think will be the back up and Singletary (might be traded or Douby). I'm excited to see Donte Green coming to the team and just make Salmons the SF.

He wont be cut, rebuilding teams need vet players and Bobby is a great character veteran that is already loved here.. Plus he will be able to mentor the younger future back up pg Brown or Singletary.

It appears as though the #24 is still available. It was waiting for him this whole time.

Welcome back Bobby. You're not the same-caliber player you once were, but we still love you.

Was my favorite player of the golden years as well. I guess i'll have to go dig out my old #24 jersey with the "B. Jackson" on the back from when we had Jimmy Jackson on the team as well.

OMG!!!!So excited! Can't wait to watch Bobby in Kings jersey again! This is 3rd team in last year,so I really hope he is going to finish his carrier in Sacramento.

Welcome home Bobby!

i think Bobby Jackson is here to mentor the young points... well at least on the Defensive end too

now THIS is what im talking about. good job petrie. you bring back one of the old goodies. now bobby can get out there and show garcia what a 6th man really looks like

yeah i hope he teaches MArtin some of his crazy reverse lay ups and alike... i remember him doing a few of these in new orleans

if Bobby jackson mentors Cisco on how to be a Legit sixth man then were good

hell he may even be our new version of Vlade :P (locker room presence)

bobby was one of my favorites. and i hope he retires a king. i hope he can help bring back the greatest show on court. here's to bringing back good time. cheers.

I don't think petrie brought Bjax in to just be a filler, i think he was brought in to help udrih brown and also singletary. I think hes in there to help the young team gell and thats just what we need right now. And on top of that we get a first round pick and probably Donte Green, thats a great trade if u ask me

I don't think the Kings will cut BJax. Like its been said they need his veteran presence and his leadership, plus he is an expiring contract. If he plays well enough we could use him in a package deal with a contending team and we will be able to get rid of another contract. If not he will just play out the rest of his contract and the money will be off the books.

Maybe after the trade deadline. However, we should keep him until then, either to trade him to a contender who needs a sparkplug veteran off the bench or as an expiring contract if another good deal comes along. It makes no sense to cut him now, when we can still extract more value out of him.

True, plus it sometimes led people to think you're a guy. ;)

I guess 6'1_PF is also pretty stoked right about now too. :)

Nostalgia hasn't set in yet, it will when Jerry Reynolds commentates on a future rebounding highlight of his though. ;)

I never did buy his jersey, I may have to get one of his "wholesale" ones very soon, though. :D

Welcome back Mr. Jackson!

Bobby will always gotta be welcome back in Sacto, but the truth is he is well on the downside now and we'll be lucky if he can stay healthy and shoot even 40% for us (since leaving in the trade he has shot .382, .394 and .403). This is in all ways better than signing a vet free agent, but its better because of who Bobby is and what he represents rather than any sort of talent upgrade.

in the previous topics we were looking for a leader right, i guess here he comes :D

petrie just answered our questions of who is the leader of this team

I don't think Bobby has ever really had the personality or game to be THE leader of a team, but he will certainly be one of them, especially if Reggie is mindful of the history and supports him. Bobby and Mikki as veteran presences can help stabilize things until the kids sort it out amongst themselves who will lead going forward.

Cliché: You can never go home again - sucks

Don't know how much he has left and what he can give us but I don't really care. The guy I disliked is gone and the fan favorite is back - most definitely.

pretty good day

Totally agree. :) He may not be much of a player anymore, but he is a wonderful human being to have around. Hopefully he's with us all year, so we can finally retire one of "those guys" as a King.

I think Bobby will be our most valued veteran, behind Martin. Because, he will be able to push Beno and Douby, or at least be the measuring stick for them. And he should be able to infuse confidence into the bench. He wont play every game, and nor should he. I think if the kids start slacking or making too many mental errors, bobby will step in and play. Which is good and bad. I want bobby to play only when the kids screw up. And the less Bobby we see the more success the kings experience. Didn't he score 20ppg for us for a stretch when he started?
