I live in Spokane, WA, home of Gonzaga University where Morrison played. Watched ALL his games. I've watched a lot of Jimmer's games too and there are plenty of comparisons so don't try to make this a race issue. Give me a break.. ((rolling my eyes)))

Care to tell us what the comparisons are. I don't see many, other than both were very hyped and both are white, and both were, are bigtime scorers in college. But Fredette is a PG and Morrison is a SF. Fredette is a much better ballhandler and passer than Morrison. Fredette is much better at creating his own shot than Morrison was. In my opinion, Fredette is a better athlete than Morrison..

Actually as ridiculous as it might seem, Steve Nash when he came out of college would be a better comparison. Nash was known as more of a scorer than a passer. He wasn't considered very athletic, he couldn't jump very high. There were a lot of people that wern't very high on him, myself included. (proves that I can be wrong) (also shows that I'm displaying great charactor in admiting it)

Each player is an individual and should be treated as such. I hate comparisons because I think its unfair to put a label on a player, even if its a complimentry one. I mean, who wants to be compared to Michael Jordan or Larry Bird. Too much to live up to, or in Morrison's case, down to. Damm shame about him. But hey, Gonzaga did have John Stockton.

As much as i like Fredette but he somehow reminds me of Quincy Douby. Small shooting guard, can score and hit the 3.

Obvisously you've never seen him play. He is absolutely nothing like Quincy Douby.

I'd like to add that I think Kahn is the biggest jackass in the league. What he's been doing to Rambis is just dispicable. At a time, when teams are trying to fill their headcoaching positions and assistant coaching positions before the lockout, Kahn has left Rambis twisting in the wind, and at one point made him write an essay on how he would improve things next season if he's allowed to stay. Now, he says Rambis is fired, but he has to stay on the job until after the draft. The guy is the biggest jerk and the laughing stock of the NBA.

Kahn is many things, among which you have described. Were I Rambis, I would just resign, but obviously that's not going to happen. An essay? Kahn has serious ego issues. Too bad his management of the Wolves hasn't backed that up.

Latest word from ESPN is that Kings management prevailed in the debate with the Maloofs to not take Jimmer.

And you actually believe that anyone, including ESPN knows whats going on in the Kings draft room. I was listening to David Aldridge last night, and he said the Kings and the Jazz are the two hardest orginizations to get info out of. I also listened to a podcast with coach Abatemarco, who is now an assistant coach at Colorado. He said, having been in the draft room during the draft, that no one knows for sure who the Kings are going to take until Petrie makes the pick. He also said that while he had no inside info, he didn't believe that the Kings would take Burks. While Abatemarco really liked Burks, he also said, and I'm paraphasing, he was a long way from a finished product and should have stayed in school another year.

Holy crap -- and to think I was going to make that exact observation a week ago. I played against Matt Maloney in college (on the Penn pickup courts). When you play against a guy like that you realize just how really really good they are for a player that size. Incredibly slick ballhandler. Then they get to the NBA and they jsut look ordinary and overwhelemd at times.
