Bruce Bowen Retires

Bowen's been lucky in a way, as one of those rare players who only started to make for themselves into their 30s--he found a team that could really appreciate his niche skills while absorbing his weaknesses. Honestly, if it weren't for the development in the consistency of his three pointer, I doubt he would even gain relevance as a player who would even get 30 mpg for 7 straight years. He's not talented offensively, but he's smart in that he recognizes what he needs to focus on--shooting and conditioning--and that has allowed him to be a cog player on most nights; he has really aged well. But his offensive usage rate has been rapidly declining these past few years, so he's become an overall liability despite his defense--so it was right to retire now.

hid understudy - Eme Udoka

maybe its a coaching thing... if jefferson starts sliding under jump shooters or kicking players in the mid section then we should all apologize to bowen.
