Brad himself has admitted that last season is one he would just as soon forget. The complications of the plantar fasciitis along with the emotional and mental stress of the premature birth of his daughter were tough enough. The added stress of a "coach" like Eric Musselman was horrendous and Brad took an awful lot of abuse.
I don't see any good that can come from "people admitting they are wrong on this board" type stuff. Let's just go forward, okay? This thread is traditionally to discuss the good stuff, not to get bogged down in old news and ancient history.

Well, I wouldn't blame Brad. Last time he played in the All-Star game, he was injured and the team lost him for a few weeks. Ugh.Everyone knows how some players don't like playing in the All-Star activities - they'd rather rest a bit and have the time off. Maybe, to put it in Brad's vernacular, he was "playin' 'possum" until the votes were counted. Now he's let loose the inner Thunder Hick!
Just kidding. Well done, big man!
Brad has worked and played hard. I'll bet another All-Star appearance means nothing to him compared to the much needed and deserved rest he will get.
I have never...ever...wanted to trade Brad Miller. I kept quiet about that because I probably would have been laughed at. I still don't want him traded. I like him. I really like him. Besides, what would I do with my autographed Brad Miller hat if we traded him?![]()
Is there anyone here, who, a year ago, was saying "Just you wait, a year from now he'll be pulling down 20 boards a game"?
If so, I would like to see a link to their post.

Of course but ..... how many players with a big paycheck feel the need to lose weight, get in better shape, and improve their game? He could have dogged it until his contract ran out and proved everyone who thought our acquisition of him was stupid were correct. This was the general opinion in a few other cities.
I dare say what he has done is very rare in the NBA. Chris Kaman did a similar makeover last summer.
I guess the standards for judging NBA players are getting lower and lower and lower....
Brad should be hands down winner of conference player of the week.
I never said or though of 20 rebounds, but I did say he'd be back to his all-star level numbers. 15/10/4.5 on 50/80 percentages.
Yep! Just saw that right now at kings.com!Yay player of the week congratulations

He should be traded.
A real world example would be Robert Parish, a 7'1", 250 lb center. He played 21 seasons and was effective for about 17 of them (averaging 9.4 rebs/gm in his 17th season with the Celtics). Brad is in his 11th season, so hypothetically he has 6 more effective years left in him. Like someone else said, probably the 1st or 2nd hardest thing to find in the NBA is an effective big man.
I really like Brad Miller's personality and enjoy rooting for him as a player, and it is nice to see him playing so well !!
So, of course, NOW i want to trade him. RIGHT NOW. when his stock is good. Brad Miller is a good player, and could make a really good contributionto a team that is both good, and structured properly. THe kings should be able to get real value for the old lug, and I don't see him as a longer term contributer (which is what we need HERE). Good luck, and thanks for all the fish.
I am in agreement. Brads value is as high as it is going to get right now. Now would be the time to package him with Bibby or Artest.
Quote of the day lol..
It's hard enough to find a center who can pretty much score when we need him to, pass the ball like a PG, and hit open jumpers drawing their C out from the basket.
Give it another year and allow him to teach Hawes, and then we can talk about trading him. Brad has been awesome this year. Get rid of him now and we will be as bad as when we didn't have a PG.
Are you really trying to compare Brad Miller to Robert Parish? Please.
