Brad himself has admitted that last season is one he would just as soon forget. The complications of the plantar fasciitis along with the emotional and mental stress of the premature birth of his daughter were tough enough. The added stress of a "coach" like Eric Musselman was horrendous and Brad took an awful lot of abuse.
I don't see any good that can come from "people admitting they are wrong on this board" type stuff. Let's just go forward, okay? This thread is traditionally to discuss the good stuff, not to get bogged down in old news and ancient history.
Well, I was not looking for people to eat crow or doing any of the "nanner, nanner," stuff. I was honestly just wondering if people had changed their minds.
Either way, we may have had the best center in the NBA this week. We can't say that very often.

Well, I wouldn't blame Brad. Last time he played in the All-Star game, he was injured and the team lost him for a few weeks. Ugh.Everyone knows how some players don't like playing in the All-Star activities - they'd rather rest a bit and have the time off. Maybe, to put it in Brad's vernacular, he was "playin' 'possum" until the votes were counted.Now he's let loose the inner Thunder Hick!

Brad has worked and played hard. I'll bet another All-Star appearance means nothing to him compared to the much needed and deserved rest he will get.

Same here. And trade him for what? I know the theory flying about but my version of rebuilding can be attained with one trade in the next few weeks or at the end of the year. Get a power forward and give up a swingman, most likely Artest. We need to take advantage of Brad while he can play.
I never said or though of 20 rebounds, but I did say he'd be back to his all-star level numbers. 15/10/4.5 on 50/80 percentages. And I've had my signature the same for about a year now.

I'm with you. I never wanted to trade Brad, he's a special player and after a awesome summer and different outlook in his life, he's showing us how great and valuable he really is.

Hadn't you noticed or maybe you are not old enough? Players used to bust their asses for tens of thousands of dollars. Now, many of them bust their *** only when money is involved.

And, as for me, I don't remember most of us saying that he should be traded, either. His contract is such that when he's playing badly, there wouldn't be much chance of getting anything we'd want for him, and when he's playing really well, nobody wants to move him. Unless he is traded as an ender, I think he is the King most likely to retire in Sacramento.

I really like Brad Miller's personality and enjoy rooting for him as a player, and it is nice to see him playing so well !!

I'll be the first to admit that I am biased on the subject of Brad Miller, but there's another way to look at it: suppose you're among the apparent majority of Kings Fans that like Miller. Don't you think he deserves a chance to win a championship? We sure as hell aren't winning any time soon...

Three years ago he was an All-Star. I guess standards for judging NBA players are not getting lower if people like you consider that to be 'dogging it'.
Miller's the type of player who will always be disregarded on fan websites because he doesn't have athleticism or 'potential'. Give me a guy like Miller, with touch and a basketballs IQ, over a limited role player like Chandler any day.

With what we're paying Brad Miller should be able to afford some freaking thing that should wash glass for you. Like an automated gizmo that you stick glasses and plates made of glass into and it removes dirt and particles and other unwanted debris by use of pressurized water and soap. I'm guessing this type of contraption would be unreliable and extremely experimental, at the very least ridiculously expensive, even for someone with a 8 figure salary, But even if something like this existed what would it be called? Automatic Glass Debris Purger? Mechanical Plate Cleanser? Dish Dirt Eradicator? I'm at a loss.

I am in agreement. Brads value is as high as it is going to get right now. Now would be the time to package him with Bibby or Artest.

I have to agree with Gary on this. Plus we still have other players more worthy to be getting off the roster (KT) than Brad is.

Yes, both are 7 ft tall and over 250 lbs. Both are centers. I was comparing their physical statures and ability to excel at the position at later stages of their careers, not who the better player is/was.
Fact is other than Kaman, Ilgauskas, Yao and Howard he has held his own or outplayed every other center in the league.
Is there a better center we can trade for or draft in the position we are in, I don't think so. So why get rid of him. We could draft a 7'3" shot blocker in Thabeet if he falls far enough. Other than that you tell me who we can realistically get to replace him.
