Brad Miller Suffers Right Hand Injury

Sit him the rest of preseason.

I'd rather him sit now than sit once the season begins. No need in the injury become something it shouldn't.

we cut woods and miller is injured... who is the next tallest player on the team? williams? potatohead? damn...

I blame Peja and Bobby for Bibby and Miller's injuries. They must've brought back old team bad karma. ;) (I almost typed brad karma, lol:p )

Actually you can blams the Hornets for playing rough. Paul was trying to crush people out there and even tried to lowblow Ronnie Price.

After Paul purposely ran into Artest, Jerry Reynolds mentioned that the hard play wouldn't be lost on Ron. Next game could be very interesting.

No idea where Brad got hurt, but Bibby's injury had nothing to do with the Hornets playing rough -- that was open court and purely accidental.

Paul is interesting -- think his toughness is one of the reasons he has a chance to be a great one -- like a far more talented Bobby Jackson (and he and Bobby together are as tough a PG combo as you will find). But that said, not sure Ron is the guy I would try to run over if I were a 6'1" PG.

No but rough play increases the odds of injury. Like the hit on Artest could have injured him pretty badly because it was a cheapshot that he didn't see coming. Paul leaned into him when Ron was running a route across the floor.

As for the Brad injury, from what I remember he was hit from behind on the hand when David West, I think, tried to tap the ball away.

Paul is overrated IMO. Everyone ranks him ahead of Bibby and he hasn't even been in the playoffs nor has he even started his 2nd season. Sorry, but i have to see more than ROY honors to pronounce him one of the best(top 3) PG in the league. He is easily frustrated (as witnessed in a preseason game)and his defense is overrated as well. I am basing this on games from last season as well so its not just the games he had against us.

Paul is not overrated he was not the rookie of the month every month for nothing. They guy is good and will be an all star this year IMO.

I am just saying i need to see more than just rookie of the month and year honors in order for me to dub him elite. As of right now, i still believe he doesn't deserve an all star spot over Bibby. He has never been to the playoffs, his team is struggling and even he admits it. Bibby put up similar numbers as well and its not like the Hornets were a great team and that it was incredibly hard to put up great numbers. Like Gerald Wallace for example, he didn't get a lot of PT with the Kings and was primarily considered a dunker. Look at him now on a team like Charlotte. His numbers are actually very good and his defense likewise. Paul didn't exactly have a lot of competition either so that was a factor. Lebron and Melo, those two had great rookie seasons and it was hard to pick a clear winner.

Amen! Both to the bolded part and the rest of your post!

It seems like there's a terrible rush for some people to want to put the "elite" tag on players. Let's see how Paul works through the next year. Then we can decide, IMHO, if he's worthy of a pedastal or not.

The deal with Paul is that he is a true PG, and there are so few of them in the league. He is fast, plays D, and makes plays.

Bibby is essentially a short SG. He can shoot and make plays, but he is slow and doesn't know the meaning of D.

Bibby is easily replaceable in this league - Paul is not.

Paul is talented, but I'd say he's more of a headcase than "tough." Cheapshotting people late in games and punching people in the groin (Julius Hodge) does not mean you're tough -- it means you're an idiot.

He's chippy, but he's not scared of anyone. Hence = tough.

Also a helluva rebounder ala Bobby because again, no fear.

Cheap is cheap, but you still want the fearless guy on your side when its time to rumble.

That's just silly...especially at this point in Paul's career.

I'm not exactly sure what you are implying: that there are more "Chris Paul's" in this league than "Mike Bibby's," or that you would rather have Bibby on your team than Paul at this point in their careers - either way I disagree with you wholeheartedly.

I suppose that I prefer Bibby on the current Kings roster because he is our top-scorer (and his clutch in 02 puts him in my heart forever), but in general, scorers are a-dime-a-dozen, play makers simply aren't.

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying flat out that I think it's way too early to put Chris Paul up on that pedastal. Is he good? Well, of course. Is he very good? Yep. Is he going to make a lasting mark in the league? Maybe.

You underestimate Mike Bibby, IMHO, and you seem to want to give Paul credit now for what you think he'll accomplish in the league.

I tend to agree with nbrans. There are things about Chris Paul that are going to have to change if he's going to truly be successful in the long run in the NBA. The cheap shots are not going to be tolerated by either the officials OR some of the other players.

Whoa...I think this thread needs to be renamed.

Any chance Williams will get more PT with Miller injured. I dont think he's gotten the PT he deserves so far.

gunks - I don't really think Brad's 'injury" is anything major. He's listed day-to-day ...

I'd like to see Williams get more PT, in hopes they're seriously considering keeping him.

Still...Even a minor injury could keep Miller out of a few preseason games for precautions sake.

Who else can play 5? Taylor? Potatoehead? Williams is bound to see at least a few more minutes a game.

IMO Chris Paul Has that "je nais se qua" and tons of potential. He is fun to watch and will probably end up as good or better than Bibby is now.

I am hoping we have not seen the best out Bibby yet. :)

Don't be surprised, especially against teams without large centers, to see SAR at the 5 some more.

I was just thinking that...

Ah well, I just dont understand why Williams has been getting less and less minutes per game after that outstanding first outing.

Anyways...If SAR gets more time at the 5, that still means Williams can get more time at the 4.

I want to see Williams and Amundson much more too, but as the preseason goes on and we get closer and closer to the regular season, we have to see who is going to be in our 1st and 2nd unit, so the top 10-12 guys. Amundson, Williams, and Douby are 13-15 fighting it out with Potato Head and Hart. I'd love to see Williams playing in the 2nd unit as Muss is doing a bit. I think he can come in instead of Taylor out there, also with the decision to start K9, SAR can and will probably backup both 4 and 5 like he did last year and be our 6th man along with Salmons.

i think brad should sit tonight and play smaringly in out last pre season game(s), and then hopefully be good to go at the beginning of the season. I dont thik the kings can win many games with both brad and mike on the bench.

If my speeling is bad, it;s not on purpose, its cause im writing fasrt .

If people don't take you seriously, it's not on purpose. It's because you don't take yourself seriously.

Amazing! See, sentence structure and using whole words can be your friends after all.
