Brad Miller discussion

yea a soft as a marshmallow center would have been moved 2 years ago. Also every team in the nba would think twice about driving down the paint like they do. A good contact would be offered to Artest (whether he takes it or not ) Douby would be traded along with Salmons. Last but not least Kenny thomas and Shareef would be bought out. YEA THANK GOODNESS HUH!

I am interested on how you think the future Kings should look like. And tell us why you feel each player in that specific position would help the Kings. Also bear in mind there are some players who are runners, and some that are half court who wouldn't mix very well, so either theme your dream team as either half court or west coast. Because I can tell you now that if you try to mix Artest with Nash or something than you will probably know what people might say.

It's kind of liek the whole Shaq deal to Phoenix. The Phoenix fans were furious because they knew Shaq couldn't keep up with the Suns offense. Now they are playing the majority of the offensive sets at 4 on 5 while waiting for Shaq to catch up. On paper it looks good, but it's kind of Bleh in real life. I'm curious to see your Kings dream team though. Offer us something up.

:DKINGS DREAM TEAM:D

5.Rasheed Wallace -Great energy can run the floor well and can hit the turn around J as well as beyond the arc. Solid defender.

4.Al Jefferson- For his post skills and rebounding even if his defence needs work he can be an all star without a doubt and also changes/blocks shots well.

3.Ron Artest- VERY good defender and a solid offense thats only getting better nobody looks forward to facing artest PERIOD.

2.Kevin Martin - Efficient scorer , developing a good 3 point shot not a good defender but cam turn into a all star with some weight training.

1. Jason Kidd - do i really need to say anything.

anyways i think a half court style of play would work best but with this roster and still explosive plays would be happening left and right.

There is no salary cap right:p

It's people's nature to hate and you're getting a lot of underhanded insults but I like you upinsmoke. You say what you like and stand by it. Respect. You're right Brad needs to go...along with all of the veterans on the bench. The Kings played many winnable games if it weren't for their lack of defense. They can score but cannot get important stops to save their lives. Ron has singlehandedly got some crucial stops but he needs help from his teammates.

About Brad, his defense is poor but like many of the members here have said his offense is nice. He draws out interior defenders like Duncan on a regular basis, allowing guys like Martin to backdoor and Beno to drive every possession. Plus, he can pass/shoot 3pters over smaller defenders. He's a valuable asset especially for fantasy league fans where he's a stat beast. Unfortunately, in real life, from personal experience I would love a defensive C that got my back when I'm trying to guard the best player on the other team. Wouldn't hurt if he can box out two to three guys on a regular basis. A defensive C is better than an offensive C given the no touch rules for players driving to the basket at will these days. Welcome to the forum and keep your posts coming!

I can imagine 2 scenarios when this team plays:

Scenario 1:

Kidd brings the ball up. Signals for a play, passes the ball to Artest. Ron tries to break his man off the dribble, unsuccessfully, so he decides to post him up. He's double teamed, triple teamed, so he passes it out to Martin. Shot clock down to 2 seconds, Martin hurries to beat the clock and throws up a clunker.

Scenario 2:

Kidd brings the ball up. Signals for a play, Artest asks for the ball, but Kidd passes to Martin on the wing, Martin passes inside to Jefferson. Jefferson is doubled, kicks out to Martin. Martin fakes a three that sent his defender in the air, drives to the hoop, Sheed's defender has to leave him to cover Kmart. Kmart drops a sweet pass to an open Sheed for a slam. Artest is furious that he was not involved, starts shouting obscenities at Kidd and Theus. Sheed comes up to him and smacks him silly.

Now that would be exciting basketball.

This team would also need a deep bench due to players missing time for excessive technicals & other chicanery. Everyone on this list has a checkered past, sans Martin. Still, I think I too shall bow out of this discussion before I further assist its deterioration.
