Bibby says the whole idea for the last possession was for him to hold the ball, swing it to Miller and look for Bonzi in the low post.

Do you guys know how good that sounds?

Bonzi in the low post....

Bonzi gets that O-RB and gets to Bibby for a 3. He gets fouls and MAKES both. He goes up strong on that post up for the Kings final 2....I could kneel and kiss his feet.:p Thank you, Bonzi. :D

I like the Hi-Low they were running with Bonzi and Miller on the post and Garcia feeding. It seem to work everytime and it's basically the play the setup for the final shot, they just reversed it to the other side.

I'd hate to loose him to free agency at the end of the season... but no big hurry, only pointing out how much I like having him on the team!
Everything depends on where this team is going

I am quickly becoming a Bonzi fan. One thing I am hoping is that we can get him an extension quick and for cheap. Will other teams still think of him as a cancer and not want to resign him in the offseason? I sure hope so because having him and SAR at the MLE would make me happy so we will still have room left over to give Peja the max (hehe, j/k)

What if Bonzi can average....

19ppg 8rbg and 3apg

Unlikely, but...
with the way our bigs are rebounding the ball..... maybe 15/8/2.... 19 a game is a bit much..... especially when peja gets back and with reef and bibby finally starting to get the job done... i just dont see it happening....

we need a better bench.....

Haven't you seen him play lately!?!?

Rebounding, low-post threat, all for a SG!! And maybe even clutch! This guy is a great player and the kIngs should keep hm for a long itme.

BIG BONZI!
I think - we still should wait and see how the season goes

Be it Bonzi or Reef, I'm just glad the final play was set up for a high percentage shot, and didn't result in a hurried 18 footer under pressure from Bibby or Brad. Kings needed the win in the worst way, and Bonzi delivered.

Team Captain in 2006

I think Bonzi is a genetic-splice of Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie. He has Doug's brain and the toughness of both of our former players. IMHO, he has shown all the attributes of a natural leader.

I think Bonzi is smart, skilled, tough, and mentally dominant. He may be the mythical Kings leader everyone has been waiting for. It seems like we have been waiting for 1,000 years, so he maybe he is our basketball Messiah, or Mahdi if you like.

Webber didn't have it. Christie didn't have it. Mike is close, but seems to lack charisma and communication skills. I vote for Bonzi. Of course, I have no vote. Just another silly fanatic. :)

Bonzi makes me eat crow almost every game. I was not happy about our signing of him. He has changed my opinion MANY times over. I am getting very used to (and even like) the taste of crow these days!

Really going on about the bench tonight, eh? ;) I know what you mean though.

But, just a trade or signing away to an improved bench IMO.

Chelle appears to be from Louisiana. I believe they eat their crow heavily seasoned with sides of jambalaya, okra, rice, and crawfish pie.

Le Bon Ton Roulette :D

Mon Chere, you are right. It's great in gumbo as well. As long as we are winning, the good times will keep on rolling!!!!!!

if you include garcia they had like 23 points and one of them(garcia) was a starter tonight.... you couldnt trust one of them out there on there own..... maybe i was just spoiled by us having bobby.... but even darius had serious game and you knew that he would hit his shots..... hell, the team played better when they took webber out and put darius in, same goes for bobby subbing for mike or doug......

not one bench player could do that.... over the past several year there was always someone other than bobby that could easily take over for a cold starter..... jimmyj, hedo, keon the mavs killer, wallace that one game against the mavs when peja got suspended, vlade or miller subbing for ach other, darius, house sort of..... but martin subbed for garcia last game was the closest we've seen which is sad..... no matter how well he did last game.

id kill to trade for last seasons bench minus maybe evans and ostertag if we kept skinner and martin/garcia.... wouldnt even need bobby, id take house....
