Bonzi Wells

Well, I'm only concerned about swingman depth. Which would improve the scoring/spark-factor if there was to be an addition. Thus a better bench.

I think Kenny is decent, but still fitting into his role. Hart is fitting in with the team, offensively. Has had a couple solid games. I love his defense though. Skinner hasn't played much, ditto Corliss, Sampson's barely played, ditto Price. Martin... who knows, has had a couple good games though, and Garcia's been starting since his ankle injury. Before that he didn't play much.

BTW, I would never "minus Evans". ;)

Especially with his improved jump-shot.

Oh man...How great would this team be.
Not terribly. People forget that we were already unhappy wiht our bench last year. Just been taken to the next level so far this season.

Would be great top have a true 6th man we could depend on every game though.

Bench does need help. May have to wait for next season to get somebody that could be a true 6th man. Hey, isn't BoJax a free agent next season?

That or maybe Garcia can help when he comes off the bench, he looks to be getting his game down. What a playmaker!

What I like about Bonzi on top of everything else is that when he fouls someone he USES his foul. He doesn't tap anyone. He lets them have it.
And he smiles...

FA-signing for this season purpose (most likely length), or in-season trade are possibilities too. But I def. think we get a good 6th man/spark for longer-term next season too.

Reef $5,000,000
Hart $1,540,000

for

Nene $3,064,000
Boykins $2,740,000

works financially and possibly in level of player to inspire a Denver move.

Just saying (even though I'd prefer it be Thomas and doubt we move Reef after so recently being infatuated with him).

Well, I didn't mean something like that, for this season anyways.
I know you didn't, but then again we have a fundamental disagreement about the relevance or potential of this current squad. ;)

Well, heres the thing, maybe just my opinion but I think Nene has very good odds of being a Stromile Swift. Not a bust, but nothing too special. I would love to have Nene at 3 million a year, but next year I am pretty sure he'll be getting 10 million a year. No thanks. I think Reef at 10 million may be better than Nene at 10 million let alone Reef at half the price. Boykins I would love and it makes me really think about this deal.

Not a chance Denver would trade for Reef. Camby is the man right now ... simply because he doesn't have to contest with anyone else down low. I wouldn't expect Denver to do anything to change that up.

Camby has never been a low block player. Has a jumper, and then slashes in there, but he's not a post guy. And he certainly managed to ocoexist well enough with Nene, who IS a post guy, back in happier days for Denver. They are very much in the market for another PF.

As for Nene -- his offensive game is already FAR more advanced than Stromile's. Not sure where he will settle out. May or may not become that 20-10 guy. But almost certainly will be at least a 15 and 8 type guy, which is what we have now. Except that Nene is younger, bigger, much more physical, and can swing over to play a true backup C for you and plug two holes at once. There was a reason we were interested in him.

Well, we can't do that. If he keeps it up, I'm hoping his past misadventures will artificially restrict his value as a FA and maybe we can resign him for similar money to what he's earning now. If somebody wants to pay him $12 mil though, that's not a winning formula for us.

Of course, you'd be shocked. You're one of the people who is most prone to making trade proposals at the drop of a hat.

;)

The thing is that sometimes really good discussions are hijacked by trade posts. NOT everything is about trading players, especially not in November or December.
