Why not? Who's to say they couldn't have came out of nowhere again to get the #1 in 2007?

Because they probaly would have made the playoffs with that team. Chris Paul + Brandon Roy at the guard spots...LaMarcus Aldridge up front...are you serious?

We're finally starting to get together the beginnigs of our own crew, but obviously the Blazers are the gold standard for the rebuild. So many great moves made along the way to put it all together too.

Very true. The Blazers have been in rebuild mode for a few years now and like you said they have made some great moves. We just decided last year we were going to finally start to rebuild. We already have a pretty good start with Spence, JT, and have even gotten great value out of Bobby Brown. Add that to two first round picks this next draft. After the last couple of drafts, I believe that Petrie will make solid selections with those picks as well. We shall see, but we will be on our way soon. Just have to be patient like Blazer fans have.

Chris Paul of three years ago was good, but not a top 3 player in the league like he is today. It still could have happened.
