Yeah bibby missed that tech. If he would have hit it we would have won that laker game as well. I am not hating kev he is my favorite player. but Kev missed his after Bibby did and he is a 90% ft shooter or he was anyway. So get upset because i didn't put Bibby's name in it.

80% of all NBA games come down to within 5 pts and ppl foul so FT's have alot to do with in the end. If you need source for that you haven't watched much NBA basketball. I am well aware of other errors thoughout the game. Like Mo Taylor thinking he can shoot again and all that crap. Sar can't finish Kenny can't defend none of them can rebound. BUT you have to hit your FT's in clutch situations when you are a 90% FT shooter its a must. Don't forget Kev in my favorite player on the team but fact is he blew his chance to be the hero in the last 2 games and that my dear VF is the difference in being good and being great.

OOOH i just re-read you post VF I am not blaming KEVIN as much as i am saying he had his chance to be the hero and blew it 2 straight games. I want him to be the best and he is capable and these 2 situations are not the best.

So now it's 80% of all NBA games come down to within 5 points? again, I ask you to please cite your source. I've watched NBA basketball since 1965. Either show me the source for the stat or admit you pulled it out of thin air, Entity... Thanks ever so.

I'm sure Kevin is devastated to know that he blew his chance to be a hero in your eyes.

Well, I got home from the game a bit ago, and had to wait to stop seething before I could even talk about it. Here are my three issues:

1. God how I hate hobbit ball. Blech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Why in the hell, while Bibby (25 pts at the time), Kevin (22 pts at the time), and Ron (19 pts at the time) are all on the floor, is Maurice effin Taylor taking shots.....crappy ones at that..........and not once, but twice or three times late in the game as the Trailblazers are gaining on what little ground we had. Blech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. If I said it once, I said it 50 times (and I did), MOVE....MOVE....MOVE...to all the offensive players. They stood around almost all night. The offense seemed to be: One guy has the ball, dribbles it around a bit while everyone else seems glued to a pre-designated spot on the floor, and then said dribbler puts up a garbage shot. It was a disgusting display of lack of teamwork for very very long stretches of the game. Blech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed most of the game stealing 7 and 8 year olds money from monoply only come and and see them blow it in the final min of OT. I think I should have just stayed and bought another hotel instead :-/

VF at 82games.com i was looking for the percentage of NBA games coming down to 5 points or less. I couldn't find it. But i did stumble on a cluth FT shooting aynalisis. Did you know that Brad Miller is our best clutch FT shooter?

However in hindsight. If i could choose any player on the kings team to shoot those FT's it would in fact be Kev. I am just so disappointed that he missed them. He is better than that and I want him to be one of the greats.

BTW i also stumbled on other clutch numbers. And Chris Webber is one of the top 20 all aroud clutch shooters in the game. Surprising?

And maybe, just maybe, if the league hadn't switched back to the leather ball in the middle of the year, Martin's shot wouldn't have suddenly become errant...
I can't believe that nobody call you on this quote. If the league used the leather ball from the beginning, a lot of factors would be different and Martin wouldn't have been in that position. Excuses aren't needed at this point, because the ball is the same for everyone in the NBA.

If you had been here during the game or when the post was written, you might better understand it. Kevin Martin doesn't need me to make excuses for him. But there were accusations and fingers of blame being pointed at him as though he and he alone was solely responsible for the loss. All I did was toss out one factor - not one I necessarily believe at all - that MIGHT be a contributory factor. That's why I used the "maybe, just maybe..." preface.

The return to the old ball is effecting some players differently than others but not to any real appreciable difference, as far as I've heard. You're talking my comment too literally and without the benefit of being here on the board during the game to gauge the emotions.

They have 1 great passer.

You have to give the Lakers some serious credit they have some pretty good playmakers in Odom, Walton, Bryant, and even Bynum is showing nice ability working the triangle.

The tri explains why they've been so hesitant to parlay Odom. I'm seeing some real tri for the first time since 2004 (thx to Malone). Good interior passers w/ snap recognition always flourish in it, regardless of position.

I'd go with the Suns, on (in a very different way) with the Pistons. It's hard to argue with their nearly 2:1 assist/TO ratio as a team. Nobody else even comes close to protecting the ball the way they do (currently 20.1 assists and 11.7 TO per game -- Sac, for contrast, has 20.3 & 14.5, LAL have 23.6 & 16.6).

I'm not disagreeing w/ your opinion, but how does ast/to ratio determine a good passing team? TOs don't always happen off of bad passes.
