I read in the Sac Bee today that Bobby is still out another 4-6 weeks, which means he may not be eligible to play until late first round of the playoffs, if we do indeed make it that far. And once he does start playing won't he be pretty rusty having not been shooting or playing with the team for the last six months. Do you think we will ever see Bobby play like Bobby this season and beyond?

He has been practicing in pre-game shootaround this whole month. I guess he will be able to play come playoffs time. Hopefully..

who knows. Whatever he did had to be pretty nasty to take him down for 5 months. But if he recovers, sure, why not? Should be able to play at the same level. Just a very open question at this point about how many games you can count on him to physically hold up before breaking down once again.

that's disappointing to hear. I love Bjax, and always have high hopes, but he has been out for the better part of 1 1/2 years, so I imagine he will be extremely rusty. It's hard to know what to expect, we just have to hope for the best for this season. Next season, (if he's on the Kings or another team- I'm not taking anything for granted at this point) I can see him returning to play like his old self, as long as he can stay healthy.

They reatached a ligament... takes tiem to heal fully. He seems to be more or less on track, did not expect him back for the start of the first round, might make a differenece in the back end but doubtfull. You can cut and past this response for Miller as well. In short IF the troops can hold down the fort into the first round there is a good chance that there will be calvery comming in the second round.

I don't think Bobby will ever regain his old form. All the injuries have to take their toll. He is a pure energy guy who's known for playing with reckless abandon. These type of players don't usually have long careers. I hope I am wrong and I definitely wish Bobby the best of luck in the future. I think him contributing in the playoffs is basically out of the question. I just HOPE he is ready to go NEXT YEAR!

ive been saying this all day long it seems like....but....who knows...i mean really...we can speculate and like RA said things always turn out worse than originally predicted

Who knows. If he comes back, I doubt he will be able to play at the level we expect of him. Why risk it. On the radio yesterday, Grant said he talked with Bobby for 10 minutes. He showed his wrist to Grant and he said not only had his wrist area atrophied but that his whole arm was significantly smaller. Shooting stationary jump shots and playing in a game as I know you know are two different things. I doubt seriously that we are going to win a championship even should he return. Let him be fully healthy and use him for a an off-season trade or keep him till next year, see how he performs in the last year of his contract and trade him next year at the trade deadline if Petrie is so inclined. Remember, Bobby is one heck of a player....with a very small paycheck who if he can remain healthy can be a difference maker.

I for one think that chances of Bobby coming back at all this year are slim, and even slimmer that he'll come back and be able to play at a high level.

Brad, *possibly*, but most likely it's once again "wait til next year".

Winning the NBA championship is really a lot about defeating the war of attrition throughout the year. We seem to have an ample supply of players who break easily and inopportune times ;)
