I voted for Steve Nash but I believe Jason Kidd is just as nice if not better...however Steve Nash almost 90% FT%

Kidd has stepped it down a notch or two...age and knee surgery have taken him from the top spot. Nash is, no doubt, the best PG if not the Leagues MVP again.

just because I feel like Bibby is more of a shooter than a pure point guard...I knew someone was gonna say something. I also didnt want it to be biased since its a kings forum

Kidd is still the best overall (offensively and defensively). While not quite factoring this in, 8 or 9 triple doubles on the year is nice as well. ;)

But just as a PG? I'd say Nash.

dude If you are gonna put CP3 and Sam up there, Bibby needs some love. And he isn't just a 2 guard. He averaged 8 dimes a game during his vancouver days, and he continued that his first year here. He has just been required to do more scoring for the team.

Well unfortunately I had to make a cut somewhere...I could have put Allen Iverson up there too but as far as best point guard goes I'm happy with those options provided.

B B B B B Billups , this guy can play offense and defense unlike nash who makes average pg's look like magic johnson .

Nash is a great player , but if i would draft a pg it would be billups .

dunno why... but i like Jason Kidd..

just because of the career he's had, i remember even back in his days as a maverick when i was like 9 years old, i would be like "WOW!" with the passes he made when he played with the big 3, himself, jamal mashburn and jimmy jackson i think...

and yeah he would inspire me to play point guard in the high school basketball team... i'd always try to imitate his passes and he was just always someone i looked up to, just a great player...

I'd probably go with Billups. Maybe he's more of a combo guard, but he's the most explosive, and he's been the most spectacular in the clutch in the last two years.

Parker and Paul will be up there for many years.

As for Marbury, at least he has self-confidence.

Bibby is a darn good shooter, but that shouldn't be a knocked for him as a PG. Actually, he's even more of a TRUE PG compared to Tony Parker for example. ................For the poll, my vote went to S. Nash. In these 2 yrs stint with Suns, he's simply an amazing PG. Billups is pretty close though.

For me, it's a tight race beetween no 1 and 2, Kidd's no 3 out of respect, after that, Parker, Bibby, and Paul are in the sama boat (Paul's potential is scary, isn't it ?). Cassel still demands respect, but he's more of a healthier version of Van Exel IMHO.

The thing about Nash is that he does so much on the offensive end, it kinda makes up for his defensive deficiencies. He opens things up tremendously and makes everybody on the team better. I can't say the same for Billups eventhough he is a good defender. If it weren't for age and injuries, Kidd would no doubt be on the top of my list. Paul potental is very scary, and you can be sure he'll surpass a lot of the top pg's next season.

career-wise: kidd (although, admittedly this is not fair to the young chaps)
currently: nash (we are talking about being a pure pg and not being one because your size dictates to be so)

Kind of hard to vote against the MVP right now.

Chauncey...is great for a title contender. But oh so overrated when he starts being mentioend as the ebst this or MVP that. Not a great creative guy. Shoots 41.8% from the field. Its just that he is so physical and clutch it greatly inflates what would otherwise be a shaky portfolio.

By the way, last time I checked Gilbert Arenas was still starting at PG for the Wizards, and while you can say what you want about how he plays it, when a guy goes 29pts 6ast 2stl on the season as the starting PG for a #5 seed in the playoffs...should be on this list.

Even if Mike was on the list I think the obvious choice here is Nash. I mean what can't Nash do that Bibby can do. Nash can do everything Bibby does but more. He can create shots for his teamates plus get 20 ppg. Thats amazing.

kidd

he does everthing, he makes the great passes and makes everyone around him better just like nash, while also boarding and playing defense.
