im a sucker for wild passes.... and as much as i love bobby.... i honestly believe that he was the reason why gerald wallace never got the chance to develop with the kings... we didnt really have a back up sg behind doug.... we had hedo behind peja... and wallace never played because bobby played behind both bibby and doug...

bringing in another veteran combo guard to back up bibby might take minutes away from martin and/or garcia depending on what happens with bonzi...

but sergio can ball... bibby plays so many minutes i doubt that it will matter.... lack of minutes didnt hurt martin last year...

I said two-way guard, not combo guard. Two-way as in being effective or can play on both ends of the flloor - offense and defense. Sure, a number of the guys I have in mind are combo guards... but that adds more versatility.

I doubt it'd effect Martin and Garcia's minutes due to our roster versatility... Ron can play every spot but center, Wells can play the 2/3/4 (if back of course), Martin can play the 2 and 3, Garcia can play the 1/2/3. That's many times through-out the season they'll be playing at different spots.

Bibby's large minutes don't matter? Look at the last two playoffs and how he played there compared to others. Antonio Daniels and Bruce Bowen or not, the large amount of minutes and lack of a real back-up since the 2nd half of the 2004 season - has effected his play. Regardless, you should have an adequate back-up at least, for as many of the 5 spots you can. In our case, we have 3 right now, and I would think 4 when we get a back-up center. The one left? PG. That can easily be done through the draft or summer dealings, and, firstly, there are plenty solid/good guys out there who can come in and compliment Bibby.

with so many players able to play multiple positions how will any rookie get any minutes... that what i meant, bibby will play near or most likely over 35min a game... garica will get minutes at pg before the rookie will...whats 8 or 9 minutes a game? sergio should be fine with such litte time in.... lol...

Remember, Musselman uses his bench. As in, 8-9 guys, and sometimes the others. He's said this in his interviews and as shown in GS.

The rookie PG (if that is indeed how we go for our back-up PG), will get time with regularity to at least a degree, this isn't Adelman occasionally playing them anymore.

Like I said before, we'll just have to agree to disagree on Ser-Rod.
