i wonder why the kings didnt show any interest. i know he isnt the "shooter" we all want but we could use more depth at the guard position and he probably woulda given us a hometown discount. i kinda liked his scrappiness when he was here.
He wanted to sign with a contender
S***! And to think how much ish laker fans talk about this guy and now they're gonna hype him up like he's the next coming of Jesus Christ! Good pick up for them, damn...
He said on the Tony Bruno show it was always a dream of his to play for the Lakers. Made me cringe.
How do the lakers keep signing these type of players with the team they have.
As someone already asked, how much money can they bloody spend? arn't they already at the max?

Yeah, I have a basic understanding of how the system works but I haven't really figured that out yet. I know they can sign him, I'm just not sure how.

He signed for way below market value. That's how.
It's funny to me how when Lakers have the bench they have, and all these roleplayers and obviusly above normal team, that other teams couldn't get even if they tried isn't talked when people bash Lebron and the heat.
For me it's exactly the same thing.
The stockpiling by the Lakers and Heat will remind enough fans of MLB's faux "competition" to rob what public opinion ground the players had, even though the owners are involved in this, too. My question is does Stern care about things like that or does he care more about keeping teams financially afloat instead of evening the basketball playing field? Fans are talking franchise-tags, but Stern is talking revenue sharing.

Here is a message from Barnes, who has obviously been putting basketball second to his work in the medical field this summer and has also expressed his long time attraction to #24. From his twitter:
"Its official I AM A LOS ANGLES LAKER. I wanna thank u for all ur patients and understanding. This is a dream come true!!! Good lookn Kobe,"
He said on the Tony Bruno show it was always a dream of his to play for the Lakers. Made me cringe.
People don't seem to be bashing the Heat, they're bashing LeBron. Bron is not comparable to Barnes. Not only that, but Miami ain't exactly Utah...they have a healthy advantage over much of the league as far as the intangibles that young lads enjoy. Miami as a town was a selling point in its own right.
Oh lord jesus. A 7akers fan is using the word prudent as a way to describe Jerry buss's 90+ million dollar team payroll. SMH!!!
I heard on the radio that Matt turned down a 7 million/year deal from the Cavaliers in order to take this 3.5 million/year deal from the Lakers.
