Back in Black

Any minute now the Sacramento Kings are announcing they are going "back in black."

Earlier this summer we saw the NBA 2K12 version and today makes it official.

The Kings vs Lakers game will NOT be a winter white out but instead a "black out."

The Kings will wear their new black jerseys and fans who attend will get a free black T-shirt.

The Kings will wear them again at Portland the next night.

This has been two years in the making and it's finally back.

You can purchase their four game "Back in Black" ticket package which is for the first four home games and you will get other T-shirts with that too.

There are 53 exclusive authentic black Kings jerseys with a 6th man shield patch. Make that 52 because I am getting one.

I personally don't wear jerseys, as I think grown men in sports jerseys looks a little funny. Maybe that's just me. Might get one for my niece though. Wearing Kings gear in Knicks territory is always fun. If they had similar, cool looking jackets or pullovers, i'd definitely get one for myself.

Yeah, the Medieval theme they've been doing is pretty cool....I like.

Since its probably not going to have a name soon, maybe we should start calling the arena The Dungeon. Fits with the theme....and perfectly describes the shape the arena is in.

I just lost so much respect for you. You picked the two teams I hate the most in all of sports (Yes, even worse than the Lakers, although it's close).



Anyhow, it seems the only site that sells these online is the official site? I'd love to get a swingman as I think the jerseys are really nice, but shipping to Europe is something like $98. That is just ridiculous, I don't know how they justify that. I'd appreciate if anyone could help me out!

I liked them the first time I saw them and like them move every time I see them. Much better than Heat's new blacks!

I figured out why the new uni's don't work. A) The logo and numbers are different fonts. Something you learn not to do in graphic design 101. B) The Kings logo and number are the same size. Something you learn not to do in 2-D design 101.

The jerseys look fine. They actually look better than any jerseys the Kings have ever had in their history in my opinion. The last two editions of jerseys we've had have been pretty terrible, and if you take out nostalgia of the black jerseys during the early 2000s, those don't look great either.
