Your house is burning down (or some other less morbid scenario if you choose) but everyone is safely outside. You can run in and grab ONE material possession. What is it?
I've got way too many sentimental memories wrapped up in most of my material possessions to choose -- one of the reasons I've always feared a fire -- but I'd have to say my negatives. That would be tough for me, though. I know its not popular to admit to being so attached to "things," but, screw it, I've got too much cool ****.

If you were told that you were going to be either deaf or blind within five years, but would be able to choose which it would be, what would you pick?

deaf. i was thinking about this yesterday, actually, and decided that i couldn't bear to be unable to read, drive, or look at anything beautiful again in my life. if i was blind i would break down very quickly. especially not reading. i couldnt live without reading. being deaf i could still mostly function, and then tune out anyone i dont want to hear. i dont like using the phone, anyway. losing music would be tough

thats a hard decision because i love music/concerts but i would have to choose going deaf because i couldnt handle not being able to see the people around me, and how could i use the internet if i was blind.

I am legally blind, but wear glasses that give me almost 20/25 correction. I also am very hard of hearing...so much so that I wear hearing aids (in both ears). I can say, without a doubt that it is easier to get along in society without your hearing than without your sight.

what generation are you from?

(i.e. baby boomer, gen x, etc)

hee hee...you crazy people!!! I guess I would be part of Gen X...at least that's what my high school yearbook says...But, I don't really pay much attention to what generation people are a part of.

I have a quick question...for my own personal reasons. I wear glasses now for driving and HATE them and I'm considering getting contacts but I need more info from contact wearers before I seriously go and do it. Do contacts suck or not?

Contacts are great .... been wearing 'em for 30 years ... soft lenses are the way to go if your prescription allows it.

It's so routine, but there are adjustments in life that you must make. I've learned to deal with the negatives .... like swimming (I wear goggles), clean-n-rinse every evening (they have new stuff that makes this easier), take out everynight before bed (I do not wear the extended-wear lenses), when dust or crap gets in your eyes - it freakin' hurts - I actually tear so bad it looks like I'm crying (this too, I got used to). Those are just a few things I've encountered wearing lenses. The positives totally out-number the negatives.

The reason I'm still wearing contacts is because my vision is so bad .... RK or Laser Treatment is not an option. I've been told to just be patient, technology will catch-up with me on this issue.

Hope the above info helps ...

If you drive, do you talk on your cell phone while driving ???

Sometimes, only if it is really necessary. Cell phone and driving at the same time makes me too nervous to make a habit out of it.

If you had to do volunteer work with people, which would you rather work with-the elderly or young children, and why?

Young kids. They are so innocent.. and they arent as bitter as the elderly.;)

i've worn contacts for years and just got a new set i can keep in for a month at a time without changing them everyday. its wonderful. no hassles and super comfortable.

I HAVE worked for the elderly so been there done that...I'd go for the kids time around...I like kids and generally I'm NOT a patient person but when it comes to kids I have a long leash of patience

What kind of toothpaste do you use?

Crest dual action whitening. It's really terrible, it has these two tubes, one blue and one white, for "dual action." But after you use it 3 times, you can never get both tubes to come out, and while I know there's probably no difference between the two other than color, it's really frustrating. I'm buying a different brand as soon as this one is gone.

I'm a bit of a mint fanatic, so I tend to try whatever new brand of breath mint and/or mint gum comes out. But, for day to day gum chewing, its nothing but Extra Polar Ice.

Erm... same question.

Kind of hard to pick one. It all depends on what my breath situation is. But technically, I prefer the taste of bubblegum.

What time do you usually get out of bed on the weekdays and then on the weekends?

About six hours after I go to sleep. Right now that means around 8:00. When I go back to work it will mean about 5:30. I might go to bed later on weekends, but I generally don't sleep much more.

Same question.

The weekdays I have to get up at like 6:30am so that I can get ready for work but on the weekend anywhere from 10am-1pm depends on what time I got to sleep

What was the last thing you bought (the last time you went shopping)?

my guitar...havn't had any money to buy anything since
What brand/model guitar did you get ???

back to topic at hand:

I'm torn between baseball and football ... does poker count ???

I'll go with baseball ... naw - football ... uhhhh - baseball it is

When it comes to watching playoffs/finals ... what is your favorite sport to watch (thus my dilemna) ???

Most definetly football...gotta love it. It's my favorite sport, next to basketball of course. What I love about football is that I pick a new team to root for every season because I don't have any emotional connection to any one team...so I have a lot of fun watching the team I pick progress throughout the season.

What sport do you think is the most physically demanding?

Basketball if my teams in it. Football because even if my teams out, I still get pee drunk.
