Does anyone else ever out of the blue in the middle of the day think of a really good question for this thread and then by the time you finally sit down and get onto this site you've completely forgotten it? Arrrgh

Several times.

Have you ever had a good idea for a thread but had to do something then completely fogot what it was?... Not that I've ever done that.;)

I can swear in French, Italian, German, Spanish and probably Swedish if I tried really hard to remember. As for speaking other languages... I've taken Spanish and French but forgotten most of what I learned. I can read/understand most the Latin based languages pretty well, though.

Same question.

Yes .... Tagalog & Spanish

I can also speak Japanese, some Chinese.

My German is practically all gone ...... when I hear/listen ... I can make out words and phrases ... but, that's about it. If I try to speak, the room breaks-out in a HUGE UPROAR OF LAUGHTER !!!

Same Question ...

Very little spanish and french...both with terrible pronunciation..... 1 yr high school Spanish and 3yrs French....I remember more Spanish...

Eleven of my above states were on a roadtrip that I took in 2001 (CA, NV, UT, CO, WY, SD, NE, IA, KS, OK, MO) -- went to visit my mom in Missouri and made stops at several roadside locations on the way. Sure, we did Mt. Rushmore while in the area, but stuck to only the cheesiest attractions the rest of the way: Carhenge in Alliance, NE; The Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD; the Badlands of southern SD; every little dinosaur statue in Dinosaur, CO; The Prescious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO (ask me about that one if you want to be truly frightened); of course, we had to swing by the infamous "Prayer Tower" and giant statue of the praying hands at the beautifully tacky Orel Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. And many, many more. For most of the trip, if there was a sign promising a giant statue of the Virgin Mary or something like that, we were there.

I've done several road trips, but that is definitely the big mama of them all.

Same question.

In the summer of 2000, I flew to Orlando, FL from Sacramento. I rented a car in Orlando and drove to Jacksonville, FL to visit my brother. From there I went to Charlotte where I watched the Monarchs beat the Sting. Then I drove up to PA and visited people in Harrisburg. Then I drove to NYC and visited other friends. From there I drove back through NJ, PA, OH, IN, and into IL to visit family. Then I drove to MO to visit a sister. From there I drove through OK and into TX (just outside of Dallas) and visited my Aunt. Then I drove through NM, AZ and back into CA and up 99 back to Sacto. The road trip took 3 1/2 weeks. It was wonderful!!!!
