I got this article/story from clippers.com. It's nice to know from their persective on what they thought of the Kings-Clippers game.
According to the writer, Clippers brought their "A game". It was also Elton Brand's birthday a day before and he wanted a win. It's a good thing Brand had a bad game against us...he may had hurt us like in the past!
Brand also said they're trying to get the into the playoffs...hence they played hard against Kings. So to those fans who thought Kings should have won by a lot, etc... this was a game the Clippers really wanted to win too.

All this week, correspondent Joe Clipper will be checking in on Clippers.com with his take on the LAC's. Please note that his views are strictly his own, and do not necessarily reflect those of the Los Angeles Clippers. Heck---most of his stuff barely makes sense.
Getting Ready
Friday, March 11th - 12:31pm
First and foremost, a very Happy Birthday to Clippers Forward Elton Brand today! Always the team player, he told fans in his online chat yesterday that all he wanted for his b-day was a "W". Gotta love EB...
Its a beautiful day up in here in Sacramento and, as always, I can't wait till tip off! I grabbed dinner last night with Chris Wilcox, Bobby Simmons and our traveling PR guru, Nick Brown. It was a great time, but people kept staring over at our table during the meal and a few even took pictures. I didn't know I had such a loyal following in Sacramento! I was afraid my high profile was going to ruin dinner for everyone else, but Chris and Bobby were both kind enough to sign a few autographs for fans that were clearly trying to get closer to Joe Clipper.
We just got back from shootaround at ARCO Arena, where the Clippers coaching staff walked the guys through the game plan for this evening. The Clippers have already faced Sacramento twice this season, and Mike Dunleavy and Co. studied film and outlined keys to stopping the high octane offense. The guys look ready and it should be another great game tonight.
As the players headed to the locker room at the completion of shootaround, an improptu shooting contest began between yours truly, Strength and Conditioning Coach Rich Williams and broadcasters Mike Smith and Norm Nixon. I started off hot and swished my first four shots to take an early lead. However, one of the ARCO staff must have opened a door, as I proceeded to miss my next....ahem...eight. His computer-like mind always running, Ralph Lawler informed me that my 25% FG shooting performance wouldn't win me many contests. Needless to say, I was eliminated, and with me safely out of the picture, Mike Smith squeaked by Rich Williams for a dramatic win.
Tune in tonight at 7pm on FSNW2 and KTLK AM 1150 for all the action. Its going to be a good one for sure, and is a game that factors in huge for both teams' playoff hopes.
Go Clippers!

Bibby Breaks My Clippers Heart
Saturday, March 12th - 12:58am
Tonight hurts. My beloved Clippers brought their "A" game to one of the most difficult arenas in the league, and were a jumpshot away from pulling out a victory against a playoff-bound Pacific Division rival. They played their hearts out and showed great fortitude in the face of the frenzied fanatics at ARCO Arena. I am immensely proud of my team tonight, but I feel awful as they deserved a win. LA shot 55.8% from the floor, outrebounded the Kings by 7 and dished out an impressive 27 assists compared to 11 turnovers. Six Clippers finished in double figures in scoring and clutch performances off the bench from reserves Quinton Ross and Zeljko Rebraca kept the pressure on Sacramento.
I knew we were in for a good one from the get-go. The Clippers were focused and ready for battle as they took the floor for warmups. While smiles, hugs and handshakes with the Kings were apleanty during the pre-game, Los Angeles had its game face on from the opening tip.
It was 48 minutes of a see-saw battle, with an incredible 23 lead changes. A run by either team was almost immediately matched by an equal spurt by the other. In many ways, it had the feeling of a playoff contest as every possession was crucial. I was on the edge of my seat with sweaty palms and a racing heart throughout the night. I unfortunately/fortunately was just 10 feet away from Mike Bibby's game winner, and I can assure all Clippers fans that I did everything I could to will that ball to miss. Unfortunately, my mojo wasn't enough.
Tonight was my first trip to ARCO, and I have to say that in spite of the loss, it easily is my 2nd favorite NBA arena. (STAPLES Center, of course, ranks #1) Its a great atmosphere for basketball and the ARCO and Kings staff couldn't have been any nicer. The only thing I would change would be the outcome of the game.
On a self-absorbed side note, my ever-expanding ego got a boost tonight, as Mel Proctor of Clippers radio was kind enough to give me my first broadcast break. Yep...that's right--I got some sweet pub as a guest on the pregame show. I've been told many times before that I have a face for radio, and I finally got my chance to prove it.
Alright, I must head off to bed. Tomorrow is another day and there is no reason to mope. The Clippers are back in the saddle on Sunday afternoon against the surprising Chicago Bulls at STAPLES Center. Tip off is at 12:30pm, so come on out and join the Clippers faithful as we root our team on!
