Successful Scenario
Due to Sacramento and Minnesota being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Minnesota had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
i hope this trade gets over the top and win a championship because i don't understand why we mortgage the kings future with a trade like this.
maybe this is better:

I try not to be rude on the boards here because I enjoy them, but are you out of your mind?
I agree completely.
And since when does anyone believe anything Geoff says to the media?
How in the world did this turn into a KG trade thread?

"Ron is going to be a King," Petrie said Monday, denying he has had any conversations with the Knicks' front office. "People are having conversations with themselves."
And Petie has never been misquoted or hevans forbid told players/press one thing then done another... I read the story and the OTHER stories as well. The gist of this SI PIECE is all focused on Ron and mostly on what he says. True there is a sprinkling of quotes from other people including the one from Petrie but I have no real confidence that they are accurate given the source and the general focus on the piece (arguing that Artest will not be traded)Um, KID, there is actually a direct quote from Petrie himself, not to mention the other articles in other parts of the forum with even more direct quotes from Petrie. Try and read the article in full before spouting off.
Um kids this is a story in which ARTEST says Petrie told him he would not be traded. What in the long history of coments to the press by Ron makes you think this is worth the paper it is written on. Any comentary on this story is jsut yelling into the wind.

Gee you guys win... should I make your quote my signature for the season?Ron said he was told by Geoff, and Geoff is quoted as saying it himself yesterday.
Sacramento is all about second chances...
He ****'d up last season, so lets see if he can turn it around this season under a coach that actually can coach.
Gee you guys win... should I make your quote my signature for the season?
Come on you know better than to put much credence in what Ron claims he was told or what Petrie tells the press. How many times were DC and Webber assured they were not going anywhere?
Now he does have his off-court problems, but I'd like to think he'll mature more and more through all that stuff and come out a more responsible man than before. I say give the guy another chance, cause he really is one of the best talents and bigger bargains in the entire NBA
I agree with VF21. Ron Artest is a King until he's not a King. But I would like to see him playing under Theus.
