after the last few years with artest does anyone feel that peja would be better.

me personally, i feel i would much rather have peja than artests drama.

how about you

artest.

by a mile.

look at the contract peja got after the year we traded him.

and with a newly signed bonzi(not saying we should of, we still made the right decision with him duh) we still could of been contenders.

not with peja tho.

and to be honest. im no ron supporter but the trouble he caused here was NOTHING compared to what he did in Indiana....

That depends on if we were still contending or rebuilding. Artest if contending because he is by far the better player, but Peja if we were rebuilding because we would've gotten a better draft pick (or at least a better chance at getting a better draft pick).

Considering what's up with those players right now, and what's up with our team right now, I'd have to say: neither.

I'm not sure, Peja for Artest was the best we could get, if we had to resign him at his current price I'm sure he'd be tougher to move.

I think its a wash really. It was time for both to move on when they did.

Much as Ron did not work out, I'm not going to be a revisionist here -- thought it was a worthwhile risk to take at the time, still feel that way. Not every risk bears fruit, but it seemed like a worthwhile one to take, and I'll stand by that old assessment.

And part of the reason why it was, was to avoid the temptation for us to offer Peja a mega-contract for his declining skills. Given Peja's current contract compares to the player he currently is, we are still better off not paying him $15 mil to be a 15 and 4 player or whatever.

doesnt really make a difference.... id rather we didnt waste our pick that year on douby... peja wouldnt have made this team any better or any worse... instead of artest demanding the ball and ruining the offense we'd have peja disapearing in the 4th qtr ruining the offense...
