Artest on Best Damn

Just watched it. He's crazy, but a good sense of humor, and his most repeated word in the interview was "WIN." I like that.
I thought the same thing, that makes me feel better about that trade...now if he only will back it up we might be OK :D

OK all you anti - artests...im not a pro-artest but i got over it. Hes a king...get over it...hes going to play for us...get over it. Whats the purpose of starting this off complaining about him. What exactly do you think you can do about it? Call Petrie and tell him to stop it. Stop paddling against the current, because you complaining about it is futile, hes a king, feel free to complain about it, but you are going to have to come to terms with that.

This is good stuff. Biggest thing I take from this interview he says team and winning is first above his personal stats in fact. Loving it.

im not going to talk smack about the guy..im cleaning the slate...im unbiased- im not complaining im not approving..i wanna see what he can do- prove it to me on the court artest

I just saw this on ESPN. Jim Gray said that Ron Artest met the Maloof bro's a couple of weeks ago and said to their face that he wanted to be a King. Thats why they didn't understand the mixup yesterday. He was basically begging them to trade for him.

I like his sense of humor on camera. But I also enjoy Shaq on camera.

As Pacers fans would tell you from experience.

No kidding. I don't know how many interviews I saw where I thought "OK maybe Ron has finally got it this time, maybe he's gonna turn things around...."

I still hate that the Pacers and their fans stood so loyal to him through all of last year, and what does he do....... demand a trade.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I don't think that anyone is claiming he's stable, or that he won't do the same to us, we're just being optomistic

I suspect that is just a small taste of what lies ahead!

Wow on the interview on Best Damn sports show he seemed pretty happy to be back on the same team with Brad, I think he said he talked to Mike too. I dunno, atleast he's getting off on the right foot with the rest of the team... I'm still kinda against the trade.

Maybe he will slap poor old Brad around when he turns into little weenie boy.

I don't see any stats for 04/05 and 05/06. What happened ?

I couldn't help but laugh at that!!!:D
It wasn't very nice of you. I am trying to keep an open mind and you are not helping.;)

Was it just me, or was that interview was really really awkward up until the last couple minutes?
I think it was the echo he was hearing. It was throwing him off.

He doesn't seem like the brightest guy out there, which may explain a lot. But at least he was trying hard to remember to say all the important points that his agent/family/friends told him to say: Winning is most important; excited to be in Sacramento; and Brad's his boy.

I don't live in the clouds - sorry

how come some of you so-called kings fans are so quick to forgive players like Bonzi Wells with his previous attitude problems, you forgive peja when he demands a trade a year and and half ago, you forgive webber when he comes back and destroys the team chemistry in 2004, you forgive peja again when he goes from all-star to all-scrub....I know artest's past action's are way over the top and his past worse than even Bonzi Wells's, but if you're gonna forgive some, you gotta forgive all

its like what any good parent would say, you can't play favorites with your kids...what you do to one do to the other...give this guy a break, he hasn't even had a chance to screw up anything in Sacramnto yet (barring him almost demolishng the trade), maybe he can change, sacramento is the place to do it

sometimes it's hard to get past the piksimism. ;)

artest is a nutjob-and-a-half, but like every troubled player before him to put on a kings jersey, he deserves a clean slate. until he does something that i, as a kings fan, deem outrageously inappropriate or overtly detrimental to the team, i cannot help but support him. more than that, as a kings fan who desired change this season, i want to support him. now i know not everybody feels that way (i actually seem to be in the minority for a change...), and while artest may not deserve the benefit of the doubt (i think we all have our doubts about him), i do believe he deserves his chance.
