It's been a while, but what do you guys think of this:
Sacramento trades SF
Ron Artest, PF Kenny Thomas, PG Ronnie Price to New
Jersey for SF Richard Jefferson, C Mikki Moore, SG Eddie House, and 2006 First Rounder.
SAC becomes:
C- Miller
PF- Abdur-Rahim
SF- Jefferson
PG- Bibby
SG- Martin
-----------
6th- Salmons, SG/PG
7th- Moore, C
8th- Williamson, SF
9th- Garcia, SF
10th- House, SG
11th- Potapenko, C
12th- Hart, PG
IR- Taylor
NJ Becomes:
C- Collins
PF- Thomas
SF- Artest
PG- Kidd
SG- Carter
--------
6th- Boone, PF
7th- McInnis, PG
8th- Nachbar, SF/PF
9th- Wright, SF
10th- Ilic, C
11th- Adams, SF
12th- Williams, PG
IR- Krstic, FC
IR- Price, PG
IR- Robinson, PF
NJ does it to get depth, defense, and rebounds, as well as change the shape. Ron goes back to his "roots", plays with premier PG that might be able to shut him up and force him to play. Thomas gets to immediately start with Krstic out, and add to the defense and rebounding they sorely lack at the moment.
SAC gets a shake-up they seem to need, a possibly great draft pick in this years draft, a nice, steady, SF in Jefferson, an interior-presence C in Moore, and a bench scorer with 3-point range in House.
Thoughts?
SIDE NOTE: Isn't NJ Assistant Bill Cartwright one of Artest's true allies in the game? That could be a crucial point...
