anybody else notice this about tyreke?

I thought I was dreaming and suddenly we were back in the TDOS. Is everyone that bored already that were talking about how high a player can jump. Whatever, have fun...:D
And I was just thinking that no matter how good a player is, Kings' fans can always find the dark side. ;)

One thing I've noticed about Tyreke is that he has absolutely no left hand. Whenever he goes to the left side of the rim he tries to throw up junk with his right hand. Sometimes it works but most of the time it does not. He's much stronger finishing with his right hand. Once he learns how to finish with his left he will be that much harder to guard.

LOL, sorry, I just now noticed your thread above mine. I agree 100%.

Interesting.

Evans has great handles with both hands.. i dont know where you guys are getting he has a weak left dribble from? I agree he uses his right hand on left handed layups alot but whatever works. His left handed layups will come in time i'm sure.

And about his handles, I would say thats the second strongest part of his game after his defense.

tell that to Ben Wallace, lol.... Speaking of Ben, does Evans have small hands? That could be why he doesn't finish well at the rim. Maybe he can't change the shot because he can't palm the ball. I haven't taken the time to look at his hands and how he uses the to shoot layups. The 2 times that I've seen him dunk they were 2 handed dunks on the break.

Has he had any one handed jams? That would make it hard to finish with his left hand as well if his hands are too small to grip the ball properly.

You get shut down so much it makes me lol when I see it, especially if the post is right after yours. Do you believe half the nonsense you post or do you just post it to try to stir things up?

And he make's them harder sometimes because he doesn't have a left hand.
Doesn't have a left hand vs. doesn't USE his left hand are two very different things and I'm sure you are aware of that. So why did you post that he has no left? I know you have been watching him play and it's obvious he hasn't used it at the rim because he wants to be sure and put up his best attempt.

His handles are insane for a guy his size... whoever said he cant handle the ball is being silly. His handles are what makes him special at driving to the lane. He has a left hand he's just not using it for some reason. Look at his highlight reels for proof... plenty of left handed takes.

There is no one at 6'6 who can handle the ball like tyreke.... NO ONE! Did yall have your eyes closed when he did the reverse spin using his left hand that froze Deron Williams on the baseline? If that aint handles I don't know what is... that'e the hardest move to pull with the bball for a right hander... period.

When he had a layup from the left side he spun his body clockwise and threw a brick off the glass with his right hand over his shoulder instead of being able to use his left hand for a normal layup.

Just saying watch him when he's on the left side, he doesn't use his left hand to shoot when he should be.

Tyreke appears average in vertical hops. But what makes him special in other ways are quick reflexes and long arms when it comes to bothering/blocking shots on defense and using his body and long arms to shield defenders from blocking his driving layups. So, in another words, there may be a point of diminishing returns on how high a player can jump vs. other physical attributes such as long arms, quick reflexes and physical strength that can make a player more effective in ways than someone who can just jump higher (see Desmond Mason).

I've also noticed that Tyreke uses both hands to driving layups from the left side. It reminds me of a tennis player who uses both arms/hands for more powerful backhands. :)
