Any chance of a Kenny Thomas trade?

#1
Nothing so far, but is anyone hearing if Kenny is going to be moved? I cannot stand him, worst starting PF in the league. His attitude sucks, he can't make a layup to save his life, can't defend and for some reason he thinks he should start. All that and he makes something like $8m a year.

Some dumb GM with another team needs to save us...

He's not very marketable... that's why I think he should be included as a condition to any Bibby/Artest giveaway deal. You don't take KT, you don't get Bibby/Artest.

In answer to the inital question: very little. VERY little. The only two places I could even conceive of such a thing straight up might be New Jersey or maybe Houston (although I doubt Rick wants to have to deal with him again).

Far more likely if it happens it happens as part of a larger trade, where we dump his salary off on somebody as the cost of getting a Bibby or Artest or some such.

KT looks like he hasn't been used properly by the Kings. He does not work well with Bibby's pick and pop. He's underachieving which may be why he's upset. His quickness and first hop has given some PF problems but he hasn't made many of his shots. Don't see him being traded any time soon.

What?? you mean one of those"more tradeable pieces" isn't tradeable? ;)

I'm actually more and more thinking we need to just buy out KTs contract. He's on the books forever, he's completely untradeable tdue to his contract being aweful and him being undersized and unwilling to be a role player off the bench. He wasn't a good teammate when the Kings were a playoff team and he's certainly not a guy I want around young developing talent in a rebuild scenario.

Couldn't agree more about his negative influence around young players. He's poison. Somehow, someway, Petrie's got to unload him.

Seriously would rather just tell him to go home, move JW to his spot off the bench, and sign a 500k per year guy to take the 12th spot. At least we woulnd't have to look at KT anymore even if they did owe him a couple years salary. Maybe not playing for a couople years he would than just tell us to buy him out or smoething.
