What does everyone think of Anthony Bennett with our pick? I think it's a long-shot he will be there but you never know. I know that some of you would rather trade the pick this year instead of waiting for more young talent to develop, but I think that the way Bennett's game is he will be able to come and contribute right away. Personally I see him as playing the 3, with sparingly playing the 4. In time if he really puts forth the effort in working hard developing his game, playing the 2 is a real possibility.

Just would like to see everyone's thoughts on him.

couple things I'd like to add..

Strenghts--Quick feet, jumping ability, 7'1 wingspan, various unique set of skills for someone his build

Weakness- not very good off ball defender, lazy at times, height(6'7, if he plays the 4)

There is zero chance he'll ever play the 2, that's crazy talk. If I was convinced he can play the 3 I wouldn't be adverse to taking him, IF we keep the pick, and depending on who else is on the board. But as a 4 he's undersized, and even though he may have the strength and athleticism to make up for it, he's still not an ideal fit next to Cuz.

I love his game- Great in the post, super athletic, lots of strength, nice shooting touch. I agree that we don't need him, but he is a future All-Star if he plays at the 4 and stops being lazy.

Well, I hate to keep going back to the well on this one, but Barkley was an undersized 4, too, and he was an all-star. I think there are a lot of things to like about Bennett, most particularly his velcro hands on rebounding. He's probably not an ideal fit next to Cuz, that much is true. If he's available at our pick, though, there's a good chance he's BPA, and barring somebody close in value that fills a need (e.g. Porter) it might be hard to pass on him.

My guess is that Bennett goes top-5 (along with Noel, McLemore, Burke, and Porter in some order) so I don't think we need to worry about it unless we hit the lotto, but he'd be hard to pass on at #6 if he were available just because I don't know if you can get anybody else of equal value in this draft.
