Guys you're freaking out. He'll only be playing about 12-15 mins a night as a role player. The only thing we'll ask of him is to stretch out the floor for Boogie and make 3s.

Barnagni reminds me of Derrick Williams. He does have some talent ( which led to his #1 pick), the issue is getting him to care enough to be competitive.

No offense intended and not directed at just you. But this is the type of hyperbole that is being repeated over and over ad nauseam until people think AB has nothing to offer an NBA team.

I did not intend to become a defender of AB until I saw the stream of negativity.

1) Raptor fans see him as a failed #1 Pick.
2) Knick Fans see all the assets used to trade for AB.
3) Me I see Vlade buying low on a Stretch 4 that can put the ball in the Hoop.

Bargnani puts the ball in the hoop and the Kings bench could not do that very well last season.

I like having a guy at the end of the bench who is actually decent at one thing.

My question is, is it worth getting him for spacing purposes when he is absolutely horrible/does not try on defense? His +/- numbers are absolutely terrible. Would he really be helping the team, 15 minutes or not ?

Is Bonner's defense any good? Steve Novak's? Ryan Anderson's? Mirza Teletovic's? Answer: no, no, no, and no. Bargnani is just a way to make our opponents pay when they try to pack the paint. Karl isnt going to let this team get wooped if he can make a simple substitution. Bargnani doesnt have to stay out there.

Actually, he gives short bursts of effort but looks disengaged overall. He beats Dwight to the spot sometimes, but flops as well. At one point he just watches a much smaller guy get the rebound.

Gooning Dwight isn't that hard.

From the thread it looked like most were trying to talk themselves into liking the signing. At best it would have been a "meh" kind of signing. End of the bench player that didn't totally suck
