Sam Amick has several articles in the sports section this morning. Among them, Kings' touch remains missing is a pretty good look at what's ailing the Kings.

He also talks about a brief flare-up between Casspi and Westphal over playing time in the Kings Notes section.

It wouldn't be fair to bring up Casspi's frustration and fail to bring up his apology. Here's a good blog about it from Amick that I just found:

NOTE: I merged a comment ryanandty had made in the Bobcats game thread about the Casspi apology into this thread. That's why it might look familiar. -- VF21

Casspi Complaining

Apparently Casspi is complaining only after a couple of games about his playing time now being diminished. Hey news flash Casspi but you are a rookie. Kevin Martin has been the foundation of this team the last few years. Don't get me wrong we love you because of your tough and tenacious play but respect is earned and not given. The funny thing about respect is it can also be lost. I have no problem with Casspi and although I haven't always been a supporter of KMart the fact is Kevin is ten times better as well as EXPERIENCED. Casspi could be the future at SF for this team and he needs to realize that. Martin is someone he could learn from while he has the chance.

Rotoworld- Omri Casspi is unhappy with his diminished role now that Kevin Martin is back and got into a heated argument with coach Paul Westphal when he was pulled from Friday's game.

"I think Omri is super-competitive, and we want players who are super-competitive, but we've got to control our emotions, too," Westphal said. "You have to focus your fight towards the other team and do as well as you can and make the most of your playing time." Casspi's no longer a must-own player, and things could get even worse when Francisco Garcia eventually returns from his wrist injury.

Hey news-flash; Casspi is the #3 rated rookie in the league. He has fire and toughness. He is not going to lose my respect, or many other Kings fans, and frankly I am surprised that you are attacking his desire to play more.

he is WAY competitive.. i like it! i like his fire!!!

but he needs to cool down and understand he has hit the wall.... im pretty sure him and westphal have settled things. its just another small thing blown up to make stories, im pretty sure some gm immediately called Geoff going...

"Hey casspi giving you problems.. i got uh uh ...... lemme see wait dont hang u...." click
