That’s why there’s some reporting that he’d stay here lol he’s just delaying it in case he makes all nba then he’ll leave the year after when he could be traded same crap Dame did to Portland
All these trade ideas have us getting the other team’s oldest most crappiest players back in exchange too lolThese media guys have no shame
I get the Klutch angle but I'd seriously stop watching NBA if Kings dealt Fox to Lakers
Yeah, Kings are trading Fox for Keldon Johnson and Chris Paul.
However, being traded would eliminate any possibility of earning a supermax extension, even if Fox were named to an All-NBA team this season. (To be supermax eligible, players must be with their original team or have been traded while still on their rookie contract.)
If Fox were traded to San Antonio (or any other team with significant cap space), he would be permitted to renegotiate his salary from $37.1 million to $46.4 million six months after the deal, in addition to being eligible to sign a four-year, $229 million extension that would start in 2026-27. If Fox were traded in the offseason instead, the earliest he could renegotiate and then extend his contract with a team such as San Antonio is in January
I don’t think this point can actually be stressed enough in the analyzing where will we go and what will we do, but also in terms of analyzing what Monty may want to do before it’s too late. I’m terrible at this cap space stuff but my back of the envelope math cranks the sat to a five year contract worth about $350 million.
okay. No Castle but we’ll take every single one of your traceable picks then.
I don't recall in recent history any player that demanded a trade with the motivation of winning a championship, that was then actually dealt to the team they wanted to go to, that then went on to win a championship. Has it happened at all in the last decade? It's easier said than done and it just sounds grumpy to say, but some of these players need to have some humility. Most of these guys have no clue what the formula is for a championship team.
It seems to me that the most common thread between recent championship teams is that the teams main players stayed on the same team for a long time. This is true except for the Toronto Kawhi Leonards.
Right. The three ATL picks, the 2028 Celtics unprotected pick, the 2030 Timberwolves pick, the Chicago pick, the Spurs pick this year, another couple Spurs picks, and our swap back would suffice.It appears that under Stepien we could get up to 8 FRPs and our swap back (though one of those picks probably converts to two seconds). So if they like Castle that much, OK.
Wait. The Boston pick and the 2030 twolves pick are just swaps so we’ll need more picks too.Right. The three ATL picks, the 2028 Celtics unprotected pick, the 2030 Timberwolves pick, the Chicago pick, the Spurs pick this year, another couple Spurs picks, and our swap back would suffice.

I always get a crack at these twitter accounts bashing Monte into oblivion and then post "this" as their answer. What a god awful trade.
Salivating over that. Hopefully Pop doesn’t take the MB firing personal and be stubborn bc it seems like they were a decent trading partner before
The way I figure it, we leave them their own pick this year - they would have to keep either SAS 25, ATL 25, or SAS/ATL 26 by Stepien. So we take:
ATL 25
CHI 25(11+)--->26(9+)--->27(9+)--->SRP
CHA 25(15+)--->2 SRPs
ATL/SAS 26 swap
ATL 27
BOS(2+)/SAS 28 swap
DAL/MIN(2+)/SAS 30 swap
MIN 31
Removal of SAS/SAC 31 swap
They get to keep:
SAS 25
SAS 27
SAS 29
SAS 31
Note to all - I think it's pretty obvious we won't get ALL OF THAT in a hypothetical deal. But that's the absolute taken-to-the-cleaners version (well, I mean, putting reverse swaps on 27/29/31 is the absolute to-the-cleaners version, but let's not get greedy!)

Vassell is rumored to be a contract the spurs are no longer happy with.you also are not getting Vassell and Castle. Figuring out how to get Vassell and Johnson was pretty good imho.
you say that about every trade. What is your realistic trade that brings us front court help?

sure let’s get Castle and recreate our guard glut.
if we don’t come out of this with forwards then Monte is who I think he is. We aren’t playing fantasy here.
Collins sochan castle+pile of frp

He waited on his squad of friends to save him but none of them had a standing reach tall enough to block the guards from dunking on him.Did you get bullied by guards in your youth? You realize you're supposed to have more than 3 on the team?
NoZion for Fox works straight up. Just saying…
Who are we going to get that is more talented? Got to gamble to win in a small market. Cooper Flagg isn’t coming here.
