Congrats to Taylor Hicks - 2006 American Idol

I did not get to see the entire show, but what i did see was good. I am a huge Prince fan (especially the reincarnated, more mature and conservative Prince). So to see "Your Royal Purpleness) shimmy himself on stage was by far the highlight of the night. I thought Dionne Warwick was awesome. I thought Toni Braxton look great!!......sounded horrible. That was all I was able to see.

I really wasn't going to watch the show. I found an article about 30 minutes before the show started that Taylor had won. As I was reading the article I found out many artist were going to be teaming up with the idols, so I thought, what the heck, I'll go ahead and watch. And to my surprise, it was pretty entertaining.

Let me add one more thing. I really thought Gedeon should have been one of the top 12. For those that don't remember, he was the 17 yr old. He did make the top 24 though.

"Mature" is a good word to use for Prince - last night was the first time I saw him and he actually looked his age. I dug seeing him for sure.

I loved Mary J. and noticed that she overruns everybody on that rendition of "One" I thought the Grammy performance might have been a fluke. Eliott was a mere spectator hoping she maybe would take a breath once in a while and let him get some harmonzing notes in. Loved it. Loved Elliott's solo performance - and agreed WHERE WAS THAT TWO WEEKS AGO???!?!?

Wow what a night. Elliott sounded incredible last night. What avoice. Still say he was robbed. He looked great as well. So mad that I had to sit through another song from the 3 Cowboys, yet Gideon was nowhere in sight. What a jip. I missed him. I thought everyone looked lovely. Bucky was awesome during Raindrops. Even Chicken Little sang well last night. No pressure. They could just sing. It was fun. The right person won out of the 2 left.
