I agree totally. Got to meet the kid at a Rivercats game, and he was soft-spoken and really overwhelmed by all the attention.

I like the idea of a couple of big bodies with something to prove, here on our roster.

I agree it's a good article by Voisin on Hassan's budding potential. I still think Whiteside is a project and the Kings can be patient with him - especially as he gets his feet wet this season. Since he's basically PF replacement for Brockman on Kings roster, probably only going to get similar garbage time at first plus loads of DNP - coaches decision. Might even be shipped off to D-league for a time like Donte was his rookie season. Until Hassan bulks up a lot, which glad to see he wants to add 20 lbs - at 235 lbs on his 7 ft plus skinny frame he's going to be subject to manhandling by bigger brutes in the in the NBA. Far cry from days at Marshall Univ playing in a mid-major conf. Good luck, kid!

I agree with you, and I think its a win/win for both the Kings and Whiteside. There's no pressure on him to contribute this year, so he can take his time and develop the right skills to go along with his natural size and instincts. In the meantime the Kings have a player in the wings that could be very good one day, which bodes well for the future. When this team matures as a whole, not only should it be very good, it will also have depth.
 
What, no mention of his dreamy eyes? She talks about him working out, but not one word describing the contours of his musculature? You're slipping, Ailene!
 
Well, there was a 'news' thread before the new look of our website. Since then it's gone and I don't know where. It was very practical to have but I guess it took too much time to keep it up to date. Maybe I am stupid and cannot find the thread and maybe somebody will start taking care of a new 'news' thread..... In any case I am just looking forward to the new season. It will be fun and exciting with all the young prospects and stars in our team...

Not sure exactly what your point is, other than this article should have been in the news thread. Even when there was a news thread, it was common for articles that pretained solely to the Kings to be posted on the Kingsfan fourm. Anyway, at this time of the year, with so little to discuss, its not worth quibbling about.

You're probably referring to the RSS wire feed, and yeah at the moment you can acces it off the frontpage but not the forums. Have to see what is up with that.

Well I know Jeremy moved the ads below our new banner so the banner could be seen in its glorious entirety. I think that's partly why he removed the news feeds on the forums page and onto the first page.
 
Dear Bajaden, I did not at all quibbled about this thread being where it is. Actually I did not want to quibble about anything at all. Reading my post again, I can see it might had misled you to think otherwise (I hope that is a grammatically correct sentence by the way!). Actually I was just wondering what happened to the 'news' directory under All Things Kings. That's all. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Hassan posted up on Twitter today that he has put on 12lbs. He weighed in at 240. He says it looks like the weight room is paying off.
