All Star Game

6th

Homer Fan Since 1985
Arenas started out taking an immediate shot...lousy one at that.

O'neal just tipped the ball into his own basket. Amare got credit as the closest West player. :p

Who's watching?

Vince is putting on a show. He faked out Dirk big time, spun right past him, and threw it down.

God I love my out of tune with everything roommate...as I'm coming back upstairs in my house, he says to me...'So what do you think about the Kings moving to Vegas...thats what they said' I just told him to keep believing everything in the media and you'll be just fine.:D Man, some people really dont know anything except for whats being talked about in pop culture.

Well, as usual, Shaq does something silly. He brought the ball up the court then put on a dribbling display in front of Okur. He missed his shot, but it was funny. Melo fell on the floor (on the sidelines) laughing. :D

Dear Jason, dream on, honey, just dream on. :p

Personally, I think it is because the West is BETTER!!:D
Yeah, and I think that the West not having that guy named Nash, kind of makes up for the loss of Mr. Humble Kidd.:D The west is just bigger and quicker...contrary to what everyone in the East says is the total opposite...and its showing, too.

Lebron is playing well for the East, but since the East is getting whipped, he will not get MVP.

Kobe, Shawn Marion and Melo are the best for the West (as well as KG, but his contribution will not show up as much in the box score). I think Kobe will get the nod for MVP.

Joe and Gavin are on NBA Radio right now...pretty much a 'status quo' interview. They just answered a Bibby/trade question though, and it sounds like they know something is going to happen.

I was hoping Marion would get it, only because of his UNLV/Vegas ties. That would almost be storybook, I guess.:D

care to explain why?

14/22 shooting compared to 13/24. 9 rebounds compared to 6. 2 blocks compared to 0. Kobe also had 4 turnovers to Amare's 1. I realize Kobe had more points and steals but he also played 7 more minutes. He handled the ball on basically every posession so he had a lot more opportunities to get his points whereas Amare had to wait untll 1 of the guards would give him the ball. I just felt like Amare had the better game.

Everyone knew Kobe had to walk away with some trophy this week-end!
All around great shooting, but Amare S. had 29 points in less minutes than Kobe.
My mom kept asking me why Kobe sticks his tongue out all the time?
I just laughed & said he borrowed that from one of the greats...MJ;)

Kobe had 31/5/6/6.

he was playing the 4 and 5, of course he's going to have a better %. easier for big dunkers like amare in the all-star game to rack up pionts. kobe was better and deserved the mvp.

Dude, Kobe had the ball the majority of the game for the west because he's a guard. Not to mention the East's defense parted like the red sea and you don't think it was easy for Kobe to score? Amare didn't get the ball as much, a lot of his points came off of his offensive rebounds.
