All-Star game discussion thread

This is painful to watch

Hrm. We must be watching different shows, because I'm enjoying the hell out of this. I especially like the focus on the future players... love Little Chris. Hopefully he won't grow up to be a **** like his dad.

I am pretty sure I spotted George Karl taking notes and looking to implement the defensive schemes from the All-Star game for the second "half" of our season!

See people, Karl knows what he is talking about....the game is evolving into an offensive game.

I think it's interesting that Boogie keeps cheering for Isiah, not surprised he has someones kid sitting next to him.

Once again, everything that leads to the actual All-Star game involves fun, entertainment, excitement, bonding of players, cherish of the great game. Then the actual All-Star game comes...

Bye Kobe. Has it only been 18 years? It seems so much longer. Nice to see Paul George, I haven't caught many Indy games.

Its obvious that you can't play modern game with DMC hence why played the least minutes on the West team. Time to trade while he has some value....hold on another year and he becomes another Jimmer.

The players are obviously having a hella good time. That's what it should be all about IMHO. This has been the best All-Star Weekend in recent memory.
I don't know. If it's all about the players having a good time, then why did the fans vote them in?

And the 10+ Kobe tributes the aired days before the game, just before the game, in the middle of the game, as he walks out of the game, are a little too much for me.

So was your TV frozen on the channel?

I really don't mean to be flip, but if it doesn't interest you I can't imagine why you'd watch.

On a related note, Jimmer won the D-League All-Star MVP. :p

I'm not trying to start an argument, but are we getting to the point where "If you don't like it stop watching and stop complaining"? I thought this is a thread in a forum.

I didn't say stop complaining. I honestly wondered why, if you didn't like it, you bothered to watch.

I wanted something a tiny bit more competitive. I know no body wanna get hurt in an All-Star Game but if it is just a dunk/3pt fest, we've already seen the best of em yesterday. I have to use a product to know that the product isn't what I wanted.

Well typically it does get more competitive right at the end but I think Westbrook's barrage of 3s opened the gap too much

Just let the players rest seriously what a waste of time they should just do massive try outs for DLeaguers where they actually COMPETE and televise that.
