Well, I made a thread about Leona Lewis two years ago when she won the X-Factor (basically British version of American Idol) as a heads up. She is still only on her way up and you guys will hear alot more of her in the future.
But on to this years winner - Alexandra Burke. She is, like Leona, amazing. She has a powerful voice and is a really nice person.
6th, I know you enjoyed watching videos of Leona on youtube when I first mentioned her. I think you will get as much entertainment out of this. She deserves alot of success (AFAIK, her mother is in need of a liver and kidney transplant). Simon Cowell thinks she's going to be huge.
It's a good story. She entered the competition three years ago and she didn't make it to the live shows (don't ask me why). She came back and the judges were blown away. Now, she's the winner.
Her first single is "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley (many different versions, don't think it's originally Buckleys). She sings it beautifully.
