3 things happened today which could be a signal that Petrie has finally taken over and is going to right this sinking ship...
1. He brought back Coachie! which is a HUGE PLUS for our... Offense, player development, and the much needed experienced insight that our last 2 coaches never had. AWESOME ADDITION ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
2. Jason Thompson is going to start ! ! ! bout freaking time! ! ! We can't play Hawes and Miller at the same time... that experiment failed... Although Hawes is much more athletic than Miller hes no KG... Hawes is a Center and needs to be paired with a true PF... or Mikki Moore until we can trade for another young PF.
3. There are finally doing something with our other promising first round pick ! ! ! Donte Greene ! ! ! I'd rather have him tearing it up in the D-League building his confidence, even just playing basketball games...than to be on the end of the bench building up DNP's....
Petrie sat back (hands off) and gave Natt some games to prove his worth and Natt showed that hes worth firing at the season end... Petrie has the Perfect situation to bring in Coachie/force his will on Natt... BTW firing Reggie is what set this all in motion... Its not like stepping on a head coaches toes. Being in charge is a first for Natt and great move by Petrie to bring Coachie in as a "helper" for Natt. It will raise moral, help our players grow, and all while we wait till seasons end to hire our next coach.
