What happens is that when Lavine and Derozan have a huge game, we then have people saying "this is the way" going forward. Implying that those two should hog the shot attempts in every single game. It won't work consistently against better teams
Look, the Kings are what they are right now, an iso team most nights when teams force them into it. This is why DC from here on using the few defenders he has as wisely as possible is super important. Every iso combo in history that meant a darn was always flanked by defenders.
Good fight! On to the next. I'm not sure i'd trust us having some large win streak going into the play-in lol better to get the loss outta the way tonight. That's what im telling myself lol
You apparently don't understand the value of Sabonis. He's not a score first center. He's a pass first center. A baby joker. He had 2 asssist today. That clearly tells you he didn't have the ball in his hands at all. It also tells you the ball stopped. Who cares about the shot attempts. Being aggressive involves more than that. We took out best playmaker out of the game.
Hero ball is what won us the games against the Cavs and Pistons lol. The only difference is that we made enough stops on defense in those games for us to win.

It isn't just the way right now, it's pretty much the ONLY way because the situation is what it is. Very simple math most nights, they carry and the Kings follow. The nights the Kings play this kind of defense they better be putting up 40 a piece though.
Weird game for sure. On one hand, we got big performances out of Lavine, Keon and Lyles. On the other hand, Deebo didn’t have it, Sabonis was a non factor and no one could guard outside of Devin. Tough down three players

What are you talking about? There was Hella asssit last 3 games. Just because lavine got hot doesn't mean the ball wasn't moving. And all those games had 3 high scorers not 2 heros

In reality, not just being extremely (unrealistically) hopeful,.....it's probably time to start planning for next season. Cause this .500 or sub .500 style of play isn't going to really accomplish anything against playoff teams

It's very obvious we are going to live and die by weather debo and Zach have a good night. It is what it is this year. That's why you will cheer for deebo one night and hate him the next. We will go as far as deebo can shoot us. I've already accepted this, it's pretty much Deebo and the Kings at this point, and the show is good a little less than 50% of the time
Well we need at least one of the next two to secure that 9 seed. Unfortunately for us the next team is 13-2 over their last 15 and usually best the socks off us. We need Laravia and Keegan back for that one
No they didn't they had the same assist as Pistons, and today's assist, half where last second bail outs by Ellis and tre. Stop acting like your eyes are lying to you

If Monte thought that he could change almost half of his roster on top of a coach firing and figured they were going to hit the ground running guaranteed then he's ignoring reality. I'm still surprised they've actually done this good. This wasn't one of those adding a major piece into a preexisting system moves. This was tearing down your system then adding almost half of a new team when you consider Carter missed so much time himself. This is patching holes in your boat with duct tape just trying to keep it afloat, and they are for the most part. The roster is obviously short on need but this still needs to be a situation you look at up until at least the next deadline unless DeMar and Domas want out. Then the decision is an easy one, rebuild time with maybe a little pivot to retooling around LaVine and whatever pieces you might end up with in trade.

Don't move the goalposts now: you said that the had "hella assists" the last three games, now you're trying to act like the assists that they had in this game don't count, to continue to cling to your incorrect take.
I mean Cavs, but the point is the same. The flow of the game wasn't good at all tonight. It is what it is, doesnt look pretty when it doesn't go right. I hate iso ball. Just not the kings way, but if it's your thing then by all means Qwerty. I could have swarn you quit on the team weeks ago, and now are a defender of the iso. Amazing
Why would you say something so easily proven wrong with your whole chest like that?

You want me to call out all your bad takes? You trying to pull receipts when convient for you? I also checked last two games before I texted it, just got the games mixed. I litteraly said the same amount so clearly I looked.
Sabonis was also heavily involved in both those games and it showed. When Sabonis is involved in the playmaking, the whole offense looks better. When we rely on iso and bail outs, the assist are NOT the same

Yeah, I'm not high on the possibility of becoming a dangerous playoff team, without major changes, despite being able to beat anyone on a given night. Oh well
