I really wanted the KINGS ro lose tonight but I must admit that was a fun game. Nique, Max and Cardwell are the future. We’ll still get a good draft pick. Light the beam. Great game. I look forward to next year. There is something brewing here with the new kids and the team dynamic.
We are still buying this? Same crap they peddle us every year for 2 decades when we win meaningless games? Maxime and cardwell are solid guys, but this team is so far away.

Damn lol coulda fooled me. I’m a kings fan in lakers country, been one since 1998. But if the way this team fumbled the end of season for pointless wins delivers us a pick outside of the top 5 it’ll finally give me an out to ditch this team. And I’ve never done that with sports ever in my life. But I just can’t deal with this absolute buffoonery any longer.
I was so angry when Vlade drafted bagley I took a step back a couple nights later and realized how stupid it was to be so angry over such a lame franchise. Decided I wasn’t gonna waste the 2nd part of my life lamenting over the dumbest franchise in sports. Now I’m here for the ground hog day hilarity. Every year………..this team!

Cardwell is going to look real nice next to Domas next year
Was confused when Scott dumped Jonas for a bag of Doritos but he apparently knew Max is elite and Dylan is the second coming of Ben Wallace before the rest of us did.

Domas/Max/Dylan is one hell of a big man group to work with.

I mean the reality is that this is only a problem because they won those games on the back of russ/demar. If they didnt win all those other games, this one wouldnt be a problem.
I don't even dispute that, but there's no point in being pressed about this game: they did what they should have done three months ago, and they won anyway. Them's the breaks.

All I know is we’re going to be talking about this pivotal win for years. This team is incredible!

Push for the play-in!

The kids balled out. What are we supposed to do folks? The Pacers, Wiz and Nets aren’t catchable this year. Sucks the Jazz are being as shameless as they are too. That fourth spot would have been nice.

Most of Scott's moves have worked out very well, eventually. Despite our PTST, we have adjusted pretty quickly to a lack of drama, backstabbing, and open meddling.

I'm shaking my head at how he can jack up a tank in the last possible seconds, but I need to remember that Scott Perry has earned the benefit of my doubts.

We should trade Domas for Zion so Zion doesn't have to worry about getting stuffed by Cardwell anymore

Aye y’all can clown me for wanting Zion but I’m not the one who claimed ****ing Sabonis was a top 10 player or Keegan could be a number one option on a team playoff team

Jokic was drafted in the second round we don’t need a top 40 pick

Can only hope the basketball gods smile upon us at the lottery. I just can’t be mad at a win when our two rookies balled out.

I'm mad we didn't lose but also happy with how we won haha

Max and Nique with 20 pieces and Cardwell back to looking like Big Ben 2.0 is nice.

Lotto luck in the BB God's hands now.

You don't know that until the lottery takes place and the picks are made.
This is what it’s about for kings fans:

Do you want better odds or worse odds?

Everyone knows the draft is a crapshoot. Everyone knows you need a lot of luck. But do you want the best odds to pull that high pick or worse odds to pull that high pick? Every other team has figured out “we want the best odds, except the kings.

This team knew at the halfway point that they were really bad, again. They had a really bad team and coach who shouldn’t even be a coach in the nba. A competent franchise would have told Doug not to play the vets at all, or there’s the door. Put Woodson in as interm and go exclusively with the young guys for an entire half of the season. No Westbrook and DDR would have the kings exclusively there at 1. Does that guarantee anything? A top 3 pick. But you gave yourself the best odds to pull that 1 pick. I don’t understand why people have such a hard time grasping this concept.

Point shaving, of course!

This is exactly what a few here actually think we should be doing, but wont come out and say it.

Again, wins off the backs of Russ and DDR are incredibly stupid, no one disagrees with that.

Wins off the backs of the kids where Max drops 28 and Cardwell playing his ass off and seals the game with a clutch block on Zion? Why am I supposed to be mad at that?

If the team you win against isn’t trying to win, is it actually a win?

Except we know that the Pelicans are trying to win, because:

New Orleans is in a tailspin, and you might think that they were tanking, except for the fact that, if they finish with a worse record than the Bucks, their pick goes to the Hawks, which would make tanking totally pointless.

Except we know that the Pelicans are trying to win, because:
That is valuable context that I missed, the Pelicans do have *something* to play for (though at 5 games behind the Bucks with 5 games left in the season, it’s essentially a forlorn hope.)

That context doesn’t generally overturn my attitude towards late season wins in losing seasons. Winning with younger players is slightly better, because growth; but if all parties aren’t going 100%, even wins are lame.

I mean, it is now: for New Orleans to keep their pick, they would have pretty much had to win out (including last night) and hope for some luck.

This is fine in the abstract but, in reality, the Kings have only played nine of their last 36 games against teams that were trying to lose, and they managed to lose four of those nine, anyway. Their longest winning streak of the season included three wins over playoff-bound teams. You can't put it all on the Kings when a team that wants to beat them can't do it. And as far as all parties not being 100 percent, all you can do is play who's in front of you.
