I know, just an “ oh great, now this “ sarcastic comment.
I actually think it’s a little silly that the old Royal franchises of Rochester and Cincinnati are even considered connected to the more recent King franchises.
I kind of feel the opposite. Like, for instance, I listen to a podcast where the hosts are Hornets fans (the irony being that it's not a sports podcast, at all), and they talk all the time about how happy they are that New Orleans returned the Hornets name to Charlotte, and they act like the team they have now have been the Hornets the whole time, and that the other franchise has no connection to them. Which, I guess is fine for Hornets fans, and maybe even for Pelicans fans, but it's kind of Bobcats erasure. Gerald Wallace never played for the Hornets. He damned sure never played for the Pelicans. Who gets to carry on his memory?

Seattle is supposed to be getting an expansion team, and the Thunder are allegedly going to let them have the Sonics' history... But it's not actually their history: the new expansion team didn't really do those things. It's like a ****ed-up isekai where I died and woke up in the body of the Supersonics... except I know that I'm not the real Supersonics.

I’ll give you a like for that.
I always felt bad for the city and fans of Seattle, a little less so when they were happy to take the Kings up north..
Maybe Westbrook has a couple more years left in him and though he never played in Seattle he was drafted by them. That might tie in their history a bit. Kevin Durant still keeps ticking too.

I wish we'd had clairvoyance and signed Precious to a 5-yr deal a few months ago while he was still so affordable. Really need to get a psychic medium on staff...

Derik Queen got the bad body language of Boogie Cousins (rookie edition) and the body of Z-Bo (New York Knicks edition).
