piksi
Hall of Famer
I just read report on serbian site about Roma-Phoenix game. They said how Bodiroga was making fun of Marion...that's all about that
I actually saw it. Pretty funny too. Even better than schooling Mello.

So why don't they?!
Why do they continually come up short against international players in recent times?!
Believe it or not it might actually have something to do with the fact that those "euro goobers" as you so intelligently like to call them can actually play the game and have better fundamentals that these USA "ballers"![]()
I don't really understand the matchups. Why did Asvel (a total crap team) get to play against San Antonio ?
USA still leads the world series of international preseason basketball 3-2
Tomorrow the Spurs will close it out in 6, just like the non-international player needing Heat did to the foreign-dependent Mavs back in June.
lol

i don't know much about euro basketball...but lemme ask you euro ball fans this: would a professional european basketball team be able to stick it out 82 games in the nba? are these single game exhibitions which they are clearly hyped up for that good of an indication of how level the playing field is? i'm asking cuz i honestly don't know. i'm not convinced that a euro team could hack it when thrown into the fire amongst nba teams, but i don't have much to base that assumption off of.
Actually CSKA acted like Yankees a couple seasons ago and that only allowed them to be in Final Four and lose in semifinals. Now they reduced their expenses a bit and in the first year they won Euroleague. Maybe that has more to do with Ettore Messina.CSKA for showing that Yankees are not the only team that can buy success.

Does piksi come off to anyone else as having short man's syndrome?
I was at a coaching conference this past weekend in DC. Hubie Brown was a speaker, among others. He brought up the USA game vs. Greece. The short version: they kept USA on the perimeter, and we had no "team skill" to move the ball inside. (Of course, Hubie used more colorful words.) Other coaches mentioned over and over that the US has great dribblers and dunkers, but everything else is lacking.
True, this is a team in NBA preseason, but the excuses get tiresome. If you're a student of the game, it DOESN'T matter what time of year it is. Missing free-throws is inexcuseable. When will we admit that we don't perform well on the international scale and just man up and work harder, instead of expecting to "out-athlete" other teams?
Now I'm spent. Thanks for your time.
If there is ANYTHING Kings fans should know and appreciate, it's those five highlighted words. They cost us the WC championship and a shot at the NBA title.
Missing free-throws is inexcuseable.
Coach Musselman seems to believe in this mantra, since the entire team had to run wind sprints because Lou Amundson missed a consecutive number of free throws in practice.
Free throws are FREE. Players that don't think they're as important as that show-time dunk or that snazzy alley-oop kill their teams at critical times.
Since the 76ers obliterated the Euro champs in a preseason game after about two weeks of practice, I think we can CLEARLY conclude:
1. The 76ers are better than the Clippers.
2. Barcelona is clearly better than CKSA.
3. And of course, Euro basketball >>>>>>>>>>>> NBA basketball!!
Right????![]()
CSKA is a pretty serious team.
