As SLAB mentioned, his positioning and anticipation are solid. He’s still vocal on defense and does a good job contesting shots without fouling. Max is becoming a better defender than I expected and with his IQ and improved conditioning, he could develop into a solid team defender.
Yeah I thought he could improve because his footwork was so bad on defense. I expect with an off season of working on his balance and footwork he can get better. Still not sure if he is a center or power forward ultimately.

Let me get this straight - we only play DeRozan and Westbrook massive minutes against bad teams? Someone make it make sense.

It's laughable at this point. They couldn't have played DDR under 20min against the Jazz? It's like the Kings are squandering their own future to boost the counting stats of these two guys. Neither one will be remembered as a King when all is said and done but the one thing that will stay consistent is this franchise will continue to be a loser.

This is all we're asking for. Still too much Russ, but if we win games off the back of Nique/Max, is what it is.
1000%. I didn't expect to go winless. But man, beating these teams would sting a lot less if it wasn't Russ getting triple doubles, and Demar dropping 40 on isos all game.
It's weird they shut Monk down but not Russ/Demar. At this point bring Monk back, Carter is almost back, sign a few 10 dayers, and shut Russ/Demar down the rest of the season.

Maxime/Cardwell
Precious
Plowden
Nique/Monk
Carter/Hayes

Any additional minutes can be 10 day contracts or Doug McDermott if you really need to.

Despite his shortcomings, he's such a high IQ player, plays within his limits, making the right plays, that's what I'm hinging on. I see him expand his plays and that footwork as he gains more experience.
