You don't watch any local sports?
I go to Tar Heel women's soccer matches and tennis matches, and watch the men's basketball team on ESPN. I used also to go to North Carolina Courage matches, but they traded away or otherwise lost their best players. Free agency and abolishment of the draft may be good for the NWSL players, but it is not so kind to the fans.

Surprisingly close game with one quarter to go. The Kings have attempted as many three-pointers, 15, as the Hornets have made.

I'm on night shift tonight and listening to the game over the radio. Is there any movement to the offense or is DeRozan ISO scoring the entire time?

I mean, six players have at least two assists, but it sure does feel like it's sticking in DeRozan's hands a lot.

The thing about Max is that certainly almost all of his offense is generated by someone else. He's kind of at that early Keegan Murray level at 82% of his offense being assisted. The only players getting FG's assisted at under a 50% clip on the season are/were Schroder, Russ, DeMar, and Devin Carter. Everybody else isn't really creating much of their own offense.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. There should be only one player on the Kings next year getting fewer than 50% of their buckets assisted and that's AJ Dybantsa.

It does seem like we lose whenever a vet has a big stat game... maybe that's the strategy. "Come on, DeRozan, keep shooting, you're the only one who can do this!"
This is why it's so hard to totally understand people upset that aren't tanking "right". Legitimately, what is a tanking lineup for this team? Max/Clifford or Russ/Deebo? We are just bad all the way around. Play the youth most of the minutes and whatever happens happens, but if I'm pro-tank I'm not sure I should be complaining with Deebo or Russ get big minutes. I mean, that is probably our tank lineup.

I think Max/Clifford is a better tank lineup. Their good games are fewer and far between. Max essentially needs an efficient 20 and 10 night to outweigh his defense right now. Russ and Deebo can really pop now and then, enough to not be able to out tank the real tanking teams. I'm not sure if Max/Clifford would be able to eek out as many wins.

I'm sure if the other tanking teams had Deebo and Russ, they absolutely would not be playing them 30+ min per night like Doug is. They'd be doing the smart thing by developing while losing.
