I love how the shameless Pacers are using their last 2 timeouts here to make it look like they are trying to win. Out of the last timeout they ran some dumb play where one of their guys shot like a 30 footer. Total clown show.

Then the argument becomes ‘Why aren’t we developing the young players?!”
If they were actually trying to develop them, we wouldn't have seen Russ-Monk-Demar-Precious-Eubanks close out the other night. Devin wouldn't only have 16 minutes tonight.

We can't pretend that this is reality. Christie is trying to win ball games.

It would be a travesty if the Kings win tonight. We need to sink the Pacers in the race for a top-five pick! Our young guys might start thinking they can win games--and actually like it! Forget the sunglasses, the veterans cannot let that happen. They need to start throwing the ball at Rick Carlisle or Danielle Scott. Dribble and dribble the shot clock down. The rookies are trash and need to play like it, too, just the way they usually do.

Then all will be well in NBA hell.
Kids these days...They just don't listen.

The pacers sure shot some nice bricks down the stretch
Having watched way more Pacers games than I probably should’ve this year, there is a legitimate chance that the random role players who looked good playing off of Tyrese and Siakam with Myles Turner there to clean things up at the rim on defense are actually not very good at basketball.

I've said all season. If you want to commit to closing out nightly with the kids, and letting Nique/Carter/Maxime play 35mpg, then win or lose you live with the results.

When Christie gives Carter 16 minutes and he goes for 24-5-3, why the hell didn't he play 30 minutes tonight?

This isn't developing. This is a clown show.

If the pacers pull a top 3 player in the draft watch out!

Because Christie is scared. Monte and Brown will be right, they'll be wrong. Well, I don't think anyone would pick Perry/Christie over the other two, not on their best day.

I think that’s still not quite a guaranteed great situation for the them though. Achilles injuries are tough, Myles is gone (but replaced by Zubac, who they want to take threes for some reason), and their cap situation gets sorta dicey as Tyrese’s max extension really kicks in.

It isn’t this game which is the problem, because the Kings don’t have the end of the bench guys like the Pacers. We should not have won the other games.

Carter is exactly the kind of players bad teams have on their bench. None of what he did in this game translates to a real game. It was your undersized two guard scoring a bunch of points and not showing any point guard skills. Carter showed out to the Euroleague teams which is his next stop.

Nique and Max have been playing like 35 minutes every single night since the trade deadline though.

They were up 20 without trying.

The Kings are still on pace to barely cross the 20 win threshold this season. What other games exactly should they have not won?

Plus I’ve cursed them to 5 years of failure for their tomfoolery.

Uh, that getting to the rim most certainly translates. Has all season.
