Keegan athletically reminds me a lot of Rudy Gay they have sort of deceptive sluggish yet quick movements with absurd strength and way above average leaping ability.

Love watching Jonas/Jake easily my two favourite role players and LaVine looks great. Jonas to me is in the Hairstein/Zubac category of C when given mins meaning there's not 10 Cs better and he's making like chumps change compared.

You’re kidding, right?

It won’t take 160 years to realize it because it ain’t true.

Mike Brown is a journeyman head coach. Nothing more.

Winning 60 games with LeFraud James in his prime doesn’t change that. Ty Lue was part of a title winning team coaching that same player.

How you arrived at that opinion is baffling.
It's actually a fairly easy opinion to arrive at, childish nickname for LeBron notwithstanding. Who's coached the Kings between Rick Adelman and Mike Brown who's been better for the Kings than Mike Brown?

To be fair, that’s less an endorsement of Mike Brown, who I thought was really good for the first two years of his tenure but then appears to have completely lost his locker room sometime around Jordi Fernandez getting hired by the Nets, and more an indictment of the Kings’ hiring practices between Mr. PowerPoint and Vlade’s weed buddy.

No doubt he’s had the most success since Adelman. Although that’s like saying Mike McCarthy has been the cowboys best coach since Jimmy Johnson

I really enjoyed the new found mental toughness. When ever they went on mini runs, especially when they cut it to 12, Kings responded in a big way. Old Kings might have let it crumble away to a one possession game. We still may be one or two pieces away (could be filled by developing our own), but id much rather root for a team like this. The effort level has been fun!

I never said anything to the contrary; that doesn't make it any less true, though.

The original statement was that Brown was the best coach since Adelman. And I think that was true, with Malone probably a close second? Doesn't mean it lasted. Doesn't mean that Doug isn't doing a good job now (believe me, I like what I see so far). Doesn't mean that Doug might be better for the team right now and may end up being a better coach overall.

I think sometimes a little too much can get read into a pretty factual statement.

I agree that he’s been the most successful coach since Adelman. That’s great, kudos to him on that “achievement.” He was also fired for good reason, 4th time in his career, which is probably top 5 of any coach in NBA history. So he’s also accomplished that

We look stable and deep right now. We got size, shooting, defense and JV is probably 3rd best center we have had since Brad miller. Cousins and sabonis being the other 2. We need to acquire some young real talent in the next 18-24 months. Devin Carter ain’t it. I think we should quietly see what is offered for Malik or Derozen this offseason.

I think the lesson of Sabonis being out is that we need more variety in our offense. It’s more exciting as well. Of course I would still run plays through Domas but scale it back a bit.

I’d still like to know more about amicks report last night that sabonis is seeking clarity on the kings direction this offseason”. Was he told something else?
Is this his way of telling the team he’s not happy with our direction? I’m sure this wasn’t put out there just for the helluva it. It’s meant to convey something.

It was put out there for clicks and by the looks of it…it worked like a charm. I’ve seen no less than 3 other articles referencing the same “report” from Amick as other smallish news outlets/reporters try to garner clicks themselves. As I’ve seen others mention before, it’s called an exit interview. I mean, why wouldn’t the highest paid player and face of the franchise want to know the organizations intentions and plans moving forward? Honestly, sports journalists these days have turned more into gossip columnists than actual reporters. It’s no wonder that most struggle to make it and resort to farming views with clickbait. Or maybe I’m just getting old and jaded :p

I hope you are right cause I’d hate to find out we have another star player going to the front office to voice their displeasure about the direction of the team. Personally I wouldn’t be shocked cause we all know how scatterbrained our esteemed owner can be.

Yeah, Vivek is always going to be an issue. He can’t help but mettle. But as far as Domas is concerned, if we are to believe the other reporting that Domas was one of the players that wanted Brown gone, and then assume that him and Fox weren’t on the same page as has also been inferred by the same reporters, then why would he be upset or concerned about the recent moves? As far as it would seem, Domas would be happy that we moved on from Brown and that we were able to acquire some talent and picks for Fox, including his fellow countryman and friend JV.

And we are winning. No way Domas is not happy. This is a bs report.

If this quote didn't come directly from Domas, to Amick, for the express purpose of putting it in this article, I'm extremely suspicious of it's veracity, becuase the entire article was a hit piece on the Kings, and even on the players. It was meant to disrupt our organization and make us look bad. Why? to shift the blame off of Fox. Absoltuely garbage behavior. The entire rest of the article was full to the brim with lies. Why would I trust a comment about Domas.

Incidentally, aren't we all looking for a little more clarity in our lives? That quote could have been taken wildly out of context, if it was even said by Domas.

Did anyone catch Fox's after game presser? So freakin smug. " did tribute make you a lil emotional" fox, naahhh. Like bro, just say yes and lie for PR, you've been doing it all month.

I'm so glad to have that negative energy gone from the building. Such a waste of good talent. Bad enough Reece won't let him out of eyes view. I can tell who wears the pants in that relationship, and if I was a betting man, my money might be on Reece in a fight lol

Sam amick doesn’t write BS reports. That’s the problem.
listening to grants postgame show, he voiced my concerns about this article. The fact that viveks daughter and her g-league boyfriend are in on runnings of the team is truly disheartening. Grants story about a coach who was up for the kings coaching job when we hired brown doesn’t exactly instill confidence. The guy removed himself from the running after speaking to Vivek. He told
Grant that he was not willing to deal with what comes with being the kings coach. Winning will not change the fact that Wilcox’s power has surpassed that of
The GM Monty and that that will keep the kings from ever hiring a quality name because no one other than someone who needs a job will take the kings GM job.

sorry about the choppy sentences. Doing all this from my phone.

Even if all that is true, and it's not, it's old news about coaching search, we have our future coach.

If I owned a sports team and my smart beautiful daughter took a interest in running the team, not for a second would I have second thoughts about it. Also, she isn't jumping the line per se, she's putting in the work "on and off" the court.

Not only is she coaching and Gm the G league first, she's personally sampled some of the product just to get a deeper connection to the game.

If that isn't dedication that I don't know what is quite frankly. If she ever, and I mean ever, needed my help in any way. I'm willing to risk it all

also what’s the difference between Jeannie Buss (whose only other claim to fame was her “inventing” the concept of having hot chicks dance on the court during timeouts) dating Phil Jackson for a bunch of seasons and Anjali dating Jeremy Lamb that makes one worse than the other?

I can see how he doesn’t understand the current makeup of the roster but I don’t expect that to stay the same after this season.

Jonas may actually fit the 3 ball dominant players lineup better than Domas as it turns a great facilitator, point forward type into a rim runner which isn’t really Domas game. It also leads to the Kings not getting the most out of a player who is being paid to be the engine on offense.

Fact is, before he pulled his hammy..he was coming off his 3-4 most ineffective games as a King. They weren’t necessarily bad games or good games, but just not impactful as we’re used to so the roster change has affected him the most.

I don’t blame him for wanting some clarity.

Fired four times isn't even bad enough to be Top 5 in Kings franchise history. He's tied for sixth with Jack McMahon, behind Dick Motta, George Karl, Alvin Gentry... and Rick Adelman.

I don't think that's going to go how you think it's gonna go.

Both cases are not what I would be looking for to improve my team. Certainly wouldn't want to pattern after hollyweird and try to act like it's "normal"

So then, if Vivek drops dead, whom do you think ought to be in charge? What kind of "qualifications" do you think there even are for that?

On grants postgame show last night, a caller called in with a link to grants show opening in December 2014 and Grant ended up playing his 20 min monologue after his show last night. It’s disheartening to listen to because it could have been done about this current front office. Nothing has changed. The front office is still as dysfunctional as it was back in December 2014.
