Seriously, even when both teams are making them at a good clip it’s just really boring. I liken it to watching people play this

I think Joe Mazzula was being obtuse the other day when he was saying “but it’s more scoring, are you not entertained? Nobody complains about high scoring football games!”

Uhh yeah, if every play in the NFL was a deep pass for a touchdown it would get pretty damn boring.

Maybe he was just being defensive because Boston is probably the biggest offender of a team that does the same thing for the vast majority of times they have the ball.

It’s a shame too because if the game was like it was 10-15 years ago, with they players they have I think Boston would have a very exciting team to watch but as it is they are just the best at doing what every other team does

He went from being movement shooter in a movement/ pass heavy offence to fifth choice spot up shooter in a 'pass around the perimeter a couple of times then try something' offence. He's as good as the system he plays in.

It was clearly a foul but I think the idea is you'd rather have your challenge to save your best player his 5th or 6th foul than blow your challenge on some inconsequential out of bounds play in the first quarter.

It was a wasted challenge for sure but I think the stakes made it worthwhile, if only to say we got your back.
