Yeah that's all fine and dandy

Doesn't matter when a HoF talent is playing well like AD is. Is what it is, you take your medicine when those guys go off.

What we CAN and SHOULD control is all the wide open 3's the Lakers are getting. Particularly Rui. You can win this game if AD goes for 35-18. You cannot win this game if Rui goes for 27 along with it.
You know what’s important for running wings off the 3? Yep, wings.

And sorry the argument is that Monte constructed a terrible team.
Given we were a combined 24 games over .500 the last two years in the West i believe that statement to be false. We do need size and wing help. He knows this and has acknowledged it. We basically have 2 first round picks to work with, he needs to get the right guy with those assets otherwise we end up having to move a guy like Keegan. But given he is our best and most versatile wing defender that’s not a great option.

You realize Monte doesn’t just have the draft at his disposal, right? But still the roster isn’t constructed correctly at all and it’s Monte’s fault not browns
Eh, the Monte brigade doesn't really interest me to engage with anymore. You guys are just wrong. Objectively, this is the most talent the Kings franchise has had since 02-03. I don't think it's all that close.

Of course it's not a perfectly constructed team. But it's one of the best we've ever had. This team should be 5 games over .500, not 5 games under. Million reasons for why that currently is, but the easiest solution is to go look at the talent we have on paper. We should be much better.

And the first domino in these sort of scenarios falls onto the coach.

I liked Coach Brown a lot but seriously I don't see how you can look at how they are playing tonight and not come to the conclusion that the players are happier. that may not last the remainder of the season but it is what it is.
I have agreed with the decision to move on from Brown, but I do think it’s tough to tell much from one half of a game. I didn’t get the impression anyone was necessarily miserable under brown. With that said, nothing I’ve seen so far has me concerned with Christie but way too early to really tell in my opinion. I think right now we are all ‘seeing what we want to see’ with the way the team is playing.

Christie is probably the ultimate player's coach, so we need to see how it translates over a period of time. I've always liked his style towards the game, so hopeful

Brown liked playing small and so the roster was constructed that way. Guys who were big for their position got shipped. Guys who are slash players get put into the position they are undersized at.

The thing is that letting him go after a complete meltdown still got all the we did him wrong folks out of the woodwork imagine what would have happened if we really did let him go over philosophical differences after back to back winning seasons?

I think the roster has huge deficiencies but Brown wouldn't play those guys anyways. That was the whole reason he got criticized from the fire Brown camp when he was winning!

Brown never played this much man to man. The rotations don't feel pulled directly out of hat either.
You have to play more than one game to make any claim like that. This is litteraly the first rotation.

But hey listen I'm a kings fan, I'll never root against my team. I always wanted Christie to be coach, just didn't expect it so soon or this way.

Lets keep the energy up

To nit-pick: I would argue that the 03-04 team, which won 55 games despite losing 59 games of Webber to his knee injury and getting Webber-lite when he returned, was more talented than this year.

They're making little plays they weren't making and they didn't quit when refs went into ref mode to start the 2nd. Often times that's a lost quarter with this club, early foul trouble and they lose the quarter by 12.
