How did Carter get zero burn after last game?

That means there is litteraly nothing he can do to play.

Im going to trust that they are just bluffing us and plan to trade all these bums so we can play rookies after deadline.

Thsts my only hope. I cant go to any more of these games until then
Shroder was back. For this organization that automatically makes him odd man out. Except he's not the only odd man out

Yeah we gotta hope that's the reason.

But also, you gotta wonder who is out there chomping at the bit for Zach, Schroeder, and Deebo. Unfortunately, there's only one Vivek and he owns this team.

Once Domas is back for sure Maxime is going down bench row too. Doug is in self preservation mode without realizing that every game he rides these guys and still loses it makes him look like the worst coach in the league. And unless there is a showcasing mandate then he might just be. I would be interested to really hear what he's seeing from the sideline. Comes in preaching defense and then does this? I'd like to say there is a plan but after last game he even said himself he has to find more development time and live through the youth hiccups then.... Like most of the Kings bad coaches he's right back to the crack pipe for another hit of the win now. While losing anyway, lol.

Tanking with little to no development playing time. Go figure.

And reason number 1 why this team always seems to be starting from scratch over and over regardless of how competitive they are. They never ever build on the only buildable things. They sat on the Beam team and watched teams surpass them. Then now, they are basing their offense around a 36 and 37 year old. We've seen this franchise be the 4th stooge before but this is something that's almost hard to fathom. Like seriously, wow.

If Christie is head coach for game 1 next season, does that indicate anything beyond that he has a two year contract?

Who knows. Again, this all depends on if there is synergy between FO and the coaching staff. This is another instance where the GM waits out the guy he didn't pick as coach so far. This isn't freaking hard. Young developing teams don't need some master head coach. Just fundamentals and experience. That's literally it. If this is DC just winging it he's ruining his own career for almost no reason. Play young guys and lose, then you just say "we're young". As we saw with Vlade it eventually runs out but it'll keep you breathing for awhile.

It's easy to see who Christie is at this point. I think I gave him a little too much credit. He's not a political mastermind, he just says what people want to hear. That will always come home to roost quickly if you don't have actual chops to back it up.

This is just bad.

This doesn't even help trade value. If anything its exposing the vets because anyone we trade is def not going to be the main part of any winning team.

Derozan if traded will be a 6th man. Play him in the role other teams see him in. Hes no star anymore.

We also need to get Dennis some reps at water boy. Check hydration levels, ice temps ect. Its a role, if given enough time and equipment could be his calling card.

That’s a strong assumption. You could be right but we don’t know that. Coaches maybe just don’t trust him and aren’t impressed for whatever reason
Coaches? Im pretty sure Christie was in the room with Carter was scouted and drafted.

Only person who didnt sign off on Carter is Perry.

I knew we’d be bad this year, but I never imagined I’d be bored watching the games as often as I have been this year.

1v5 defense and 1-on-1 offense. That’s the Kings under Doug because he won’t play the young guys that play D together and take minutes away from the old vets that hog the ball.

Eh, if Bradley freaking Beal can get traded, anything can happen. He’s an absolute bum and hasn’t been good in 6 years or more.

Good attitude! I'm a believer (coper?) too.

My theory is that the Kings have been such an absolute dumpster fire of chaos and ineptitude, for so long, that perhaps there's a rival GM or two out there that'll think "ok, I get that guy off of THAT team and maybe they can help us"! And that rival GM might be right too*!

*unless they're thinking that about Lavine haha

Yeah, but some teams let their coaches have a say in draft picks is Carter a Brown pick, and Nique a Doug pick? If that's even a consideration regardless this franchise is screwed until the madness stops. You have first round talent that can all play together and the 3rd oldest team losing games and just wanting out from top to bottom most likely. The Kings are per usual making something very easy and very obvious some kind of puzzle that can only be solved with a massive amount of stupidity apparently, haha.
