Yea. Over these last 6, we've been better with him on the floor. He's building a connection with Russ, who's actually looking for him on the PnR. Excellent touch around the rim, with both hands and a very instinctual player. Him running the floor hard has lead to a transition bucket. We're also seeing the 10 RPG he had last year at Stanford wasn't a fluke; he's a very good rebounder. Improving every game as a defender. He had one incredible defensive stand vs Mathurin in space where he stayed home, didn't bite on the fake and put a great contest leading to a miss.

Swing skill is him really finding his shot as a stretch 5. Honestly, he sort of reminds me of young Brook Lopez in a lot of ways; really skilled offensive player with great feel around the rim, fl can make the right read as a passer. Let's just hope he finds his 3-ball before his 9th NBA season and becomes an All-NBA defender before his 11th season!
If Sabonis hadn't got hurt, we likely would have no idea what he can bring

I thought it was an entertaining game the Kings could have won if they had fewer gross defensive errors on the floor (which must have exceeded five) and if Christie would have found the correct five players to end the game. It seemed like he was flailing, and taking out Ellis didn't help any. Westbrook was much brainier in this game than most we've seen this year. Precious was pretty precious, Max continued to be the smartest player on the floor with his rebound-tips to team mates. It's a game that could have been won.

Hopefully it's nothing serious with Murray. He didn't look himself this game.

What kind of odds do you give the trade season going well for the Kings?

Depends on what you mean by "well". The Kings have buried youth killing that value for years, traded picks, and the only player they are truly shining up is a 37 year old min. signing that was halfway out of the league this season. I mean, this is literally the book on what a franchise should NOT do. This makes that first Joerger year look Einstein level. If the Kings can cut some salary on anyone making more than 20 million a season I'd consider that well enough.

I don't know if I really care at this point. Just:

1. Don't trade future draft capital
2. Clear the runway for Nique/Maxime/Carter to get a ton of minutes to close the year. I'd say Keon too, but our stupid franchise probably has decided to move on from him

I'd consider it successful. The key is we really need to keep losing games here over the next month or so. Can't see a "winning streak" where Vivek thinks the play-in is still a possibility and instead of selling, we try and buy our way into the 10 seed. Only to further push out the rebuild that needs to happen. Get what you can, put ourselves into position to hopefully restart with a top 4 pick in this class and move forward.

He has much more mobility than Lopez ever had. Of course Lopez has more length than Max has. I still see Max as a stretch 4/5. He's a joy to watch and should get better because of his work ethic and intelligence.

I didn't think even this organization was still this dumb,.....but have been proven wrong again

He's got a lot of inside creativity, iQ, and touch around the basket. Would be a shame to just see him standing out behind the 3pt line most of the time

Maybe Westbrook's performance in this game will get a 2nd rounder by the trade deadline?

Maybe. I would say odds are on the Kings thanking him for his hard work and letting him sign with whoever he wants or just holding onto him and letting those triple dubs keep on rolling! Russ is rehabbing at the Kings expense at this point though. Ain't Russ' fault by any stretch, good for him.

and randomly, I'm not high on Christie as a head coach even going forward next season. Regardless, just think his hands have been tied with how he currently uses this roster. Not to be confused with high expectations

On one positive note for the future Precious looks like a keeper. In a smart world he'd be getting 40 minutes before any of those other 3 to see if that production lines up. He's kind of like Bagley where the only impediment to breaking through might be minutes.

Yeah, he's kind of a hard guy to find a comp for. I agree with the mobility; 7'1 dudes just don't move like Max can very often. We're seeing it primarily in the PnR right now. He sets a hard screen, rolls extremely quick and has the creativity around the rim to usually convert

I thought Kayte said triceps, I might have misheard but I was wondering why he was nursing his shoulder area, lol.

I'm starting to get concerned because the last few games especially he's been struggling to really pull out wins and nothing other that let Russ roll is in his playbook. That's a bit worrisome. If true he's getting outcoached beyond a lot of the grossness of this squad.

Stinks that Precious is 2 years too late. This is the dude we needed off the bench after beam team year 1. I'm a little confused why he didn't have a job. Just a rock solid bench big with true 4/5 flexibility, good defender, stays in his lane on offense.

Depending on how much we clear out this deadline/off-season, I'd like him back for sure. Although, I'd be a little concerned if we end up with a Wilson/Boozer type and Doug defers to him over the rook

If nothing else, he doesn't give the impression that he currently has any real idea what he's doing. Kind of a double negative. haha

Much better than Kessler Edwards
