I'm not going to cave on this "all that matters is 3pt shooting" philosophy. All that matters is outscoring your opponent. I have never cared how an offense scores their points, just that my team has more of them than whoever we're playing by the final whistle.
I definitely don't buy into "all the matters is 3 pt shooting".
Defense matters....and when you're consistently getting killed in an area, you better figure out a way to change it. Especially when your record is below .500

... Are not contradictory. So I'm not really sure what the argument is?
It is true that it doesn't matter how the Kings score, as long as they have more points than the other guys when the time runs out. It is also true that if the Kings can't defend against three-point shooting, how they get buckets is of little consequence, because evidence strongly suggests that they're not going to be able to score enough to have more points than the other team at the end of the game, unless they can stop the three.
I'm just more confused than anything that people are still letting the 3pt shooting bother them when the Kings are winning. We're owning these guys from inside the arc on both ends and I just think that's who this team is. Embrace it and play that game with precision. Who cares what Boston and Cleveland do? We're not those teams.
Let's just keep those 3 point shooters open fellas, eventually their arms will get tired from launching all those open looks and they'll start to miss!

It doesn't matter to me if we score most of our points in the paint. That's fine if that's who we are and if we can pull it off without ideal floor spacing. But we can't just concede easy, high-efficiency points over and over and expect to win a lot of games.

We're up 5 and -10 3PM. Allowing 51% from 3. Sure, we're winning, but we SHOULD be winning by significantly more. How does that not make sense? What are you getting here?
If we allowed them to shoot 40% (still god awful), we'd be by 20 right now. How does that not matter?
