[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Not surprising that 47 out of 57 writers polled by ESPN picked the Seahawks and the spread of scores predictions:. Maybe in line with that statistical vairance being with - highest score differential picked Seahawks by 17, Patriots by 6......Vegas has Seahawks ~26-21.
Very Good weather forecasted high 67 partly sunny chance of rain 7% @ ~ 4 days out facilitates more scoring.. Going with Seahawks 30-20.....though wouldn't mind Darnold turning in a Rams 2025 Regular Season Game 1 special sabotaging the Seachickens thanks to solid Patriots secondary.

A friend (Lions fan) thinks #1 objective for Patriots could be their get-out-of-jail free ticket this superbowl - sacking Darnold multiple times. It would possibly trigger Da-Darnold interception flurry.

Pats D mostly held up their end of the bargain. Josh McD's offense has been spectacularly unimaginative playing right into Seattle's strengths. Something is wrong with Will Campbell who looked good up until he got hurt.

Game's over but I will torture myself through the end.

I liked Bad Bunny but I do wish there had been an option to get English subtitles.

Dud of a Super Bowl after some exciting playoff games.

Take note Lynch. We need answers to Seattles Defense.
My team lost but I wouldn't call it a dud (aside from our O-Line play). Good old fashioned defense wins championships game. I wish Josh McDaniels would have taken the gloves off from the jump because it feels like they just ceded the first half to Seattle's defense.

Drake Maye has a ways to go but I think he'll be back. Good learning experience for him. Get a solid O-Line, learn not to turn the ball over so dumb, this would have been a winnable game.

Rams/Seahawks game 10x better watch than today....would've liked to have seen the Bills vs the Seahawks,, but I think they wouldn't have held up either, though probably a closer game. 49ers have a long way to go in the division - even fully healthy they have alot of holes on both sides of the ball. A nice post-season considering, but a predictable and cruddy superbowl. Maye got sped up and whooped similar to Purdy. I thought the Patriots coaching would have him running more earlier as he's faster than Purdy as plan B - but seemed like nothing changed til much later in the game. That was on the Patriots coaching/coordinator. Maye was badl rattled - not quite as bad as Mahomes vs Eagles a year earlier - which was a thing of exquisite beauty,

I’m glad we got stomped by the best team in football. That defense is insane.

Hopefully they suck next year because it’s totally our year Quest For Six, amirite?

Nope....barring crazy off-season drafts and Free Agency. Rumors on Crosby probably nothing....but the Offensive Line and secondary both on fire in a bad way as usual.. Story was (reportedly) keeping Jones - of course organization would say that. Some people might say getting to the playoffs isn't good enough. Jones certainly enabled that this last season for the 49ers in their cherry schedule. Next year I don't think the schedule will be so kind. You saw the 49ers at full health game 1 vs Seahawks were closer to equal, though their game 1 regular season win was lucky with the go ahead TD 3-flies-up play and Bosa stripping Darnold to seal it.....truth is the 49ers overachieved this season. The team is a full notch behind their 2023 Superbowl team, especially on offense. Losing Samuel and Aiyuk has hurt. I'd prefer them to pick O-Line in at least 2 rounds and secondary in 2 rounds in off-season. Not having to worry about a QB is advantageous in the draft.

Seahawks fan here (raised NorCal which is why I'm cursed with Kings fandom, but been in Seattle for fifteen years now), good effin win!

Good luck to the 49ers bouncing back and getting healthy, because that rivalry is hella fun. I only hate the Rams haha

I have zero against the current Seahawks. They don’t bother me at all like the Legion of Boom, Wilson, Carroll years.

Love that Darnold got a ring after all the crap people continually shovel at him!
