By the skin of their teeth but home field with a bye is still alive. This defense is just extremely untalented though.
Bears blew it by going conservative on their second to last possession imo. Collingsworth called it. He knew they were selling and playing for 3 when it was 1st and goal. Why they would choose to do that against this D, who knows.
Brock is playing the best of his career and proving he doesn’t need an all star team to run an offensive machine. As flawless a performance that started out with a pick 6 can be. I’m extremely bullish on him again. He is the guy. He’s a playmaker

I hope another short week for such an injured team doesn’t bite us. 2nd short week in a row because ESPN complained to the NFL that NBC shouldn’t have 2 major 49er games in a row. So they moved us to Saturday. That’s the rumor online.

PFF has him graded pretty much dead average but teams just do not throw it Lenoir's way very often. He's the most invisible guy on the Niners defense. Probably due to the fact that every other player in the secondary is swiss cheese but credit to him for playing well enough for teams to not even bother throwing his way.
It is difficult to really grade our secondary accurately though because of how tied it is to needing even a passable pass rush. We could have prime Legion of Boom right now and they probably don't fair THAT much better than what we're showing now.
We certainly need more talent in the secondary, but I do think a lot of the problems with the defense is how bad the pass rush is right now.
Only Mustapha looks above average in the secondary, Brown looks average, Lennoir looks average, and Stout a bit below average, but its skewed for Lennoir, because he looks good or great vs the other chumps: Green , Luter Jr, and Lucas. Those guys are all lost in the sauce.
They are in the spin cycle and teams have zeroed in on them. Bethune is a lesser and slower version of Greenlaw. He's decent on the the run, but forget about coverage. Winters is the current best player on defense #3 on defense behind Warner and Bosa or you could make a case behind Mustapha.
None of them are shutdown corners. They need to trade or draft for a shutdown corner. Ward his first couple seasons was the closest thing they've had recently, while Moseley was promising until his ACL tear a few years ago. Sherman was already in decline the Superbowl loss in 2020.

If the Niners beat the Seahawks, the Niners will be the #1 seed at 13-4, and the Seahawks will be the #5 seed at 13-4. Of course, if the Rams win both games (not looking good right now) they would finish at 13-4. They would be the #5 seed no matter what.
If the Rams lose to the Cardinals they would be the #6 seed, regardless of the outcomes of any other games.
I didn't even bother looking at analyzing it....
.....the Rams will know on Saturday (before they play Sunday) if they need to beat the Cardinals or not it sounds like - if the 49ers win, the Rams can rest their players, but if they lose the Rams will play their contingent.....Rams losing to the Cardinals if the Rams play to win would certainly be a bad look...........
