[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Yes that may have been at least something......does not make it optimal?..........wind was listed at 13mph - which would be the critical determinant for FG attempt decision-making - 13mph, though is not a deal-breaker....they turned down a high % chance for 3 pts - at the 20 for about 38 yard FG try. Take the high percentage 3 pts.
I think it has more to do with confidence in the holder. It's wild that the new ball rules for kickers have added about 5-10 yards to their range but the spotters have become more important than ever. About half the time they miss its because of a bad snap or placement.

Last week Bears went for it on 4th and 3 on their own like 30-35 in the first half. He’s just going to go for it and live with the results
I think most head coaches go for it now from ~50 even though kickers reliably hit 55 yarders all the time now - at least early in the game when they don't desperately need to close or extend a lead. Logic is that 3 yards on the ground is easy and if they "surprise" the other team with a pass it's an easy TD.

Bears player went for pick instead of staying close and just batting ball. Hate it.

Damn, on the move again at the 35. I really think if they pass more, Rams have had some trouble covering. Need a TD here

If the Bears can win, it would be 8 comebacks in last two minutes this year……an insane number, never seen this before

Williams threw that game-tying TD from 26 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Maybe I SHOULDN'T have switched over to basketball.

All time depressing way to end a game
The Bears played off the 1st down line ~7-8 yards deep on a 3rd and 5!! - Bears defensive coordinator completely blew it......a FG beats you , and you run that dumb as rocks mid-cover zone with Puka able to run freely......un#$king believeable....... You must know the down and distance and cover the shortest path to 1st down.

I can safely say that watching y'all struggle all week to determine who your preferred NFC Champions are will be one of the (many) highlights of my week...:p:p:p

Well, at least all of you Niner folks...

Here we were losing our minds when Jennigns was lollygagging to the line with time running out and this guy goes and costs his team a championship game appearance and makes his QB look like a choker.
Feels like a little bit of that INT is still on Caleb and Ben Johnson for even deciding to go for that play at all though. In a position where they were essentially already on the verge of field goal range and a FG wins it, I’m not sure drawing up a big ol’ bomb to the third receiver is quite the right idea.

Seems like Harbaugh really wanted the Giants job. They paid him a ton and gave him a huge assistant budget, and there is more rope since making the playoffs consistently like the Bills have been doing would be great success for the Giants of today. The Bills job is going to come with more expectations than he had in Baltimore. Also quite frankly their GM is a problem and the Patriots have a great QB again, so good luck to whoever takes that job. I don't know if McDermott deserved to lose his job but as someone who thought Tomlin was probably kept 10 years too long, Tomlin has a better resume with less QB talent.
